"Why were you hanging from the crane?"

"Was that a dare?"

"Did you want to drop off the edge?"

"Was it all a stunt?"

"We're huge fans."

"Was not being able to make it back on the crane right away a part of the plan?"

The questions came flooding in. I hated when this many people try talking to me at once. I have one mouth that can only say one thing at a time. The flashing lights and crowded space really made it feeling like I was famous.

"Well yes.. No I didn't mean to almost die. It was a dare though.." Even as I tried responding they kept badgering me with questions. This is already wasting my time, and even as I try to give them what they want- they don't stop talking to let me.

"Shut up!" I shout at them. When most dial down, but still a few talk I should at them again, "Shut your mouths and let me give you the answers you want, so you can stop wasting my time!"

Vee looks at me slightly stunned, but I just shrug.

"I have one thing to say... Suck it, Nerve." I grab Vee's arm and begin to jog away as people begin chattering again. Asking more questions than before. What do they not get about me having ONE thing to say?

As we're jogging away, Vee looks over to me in amusement, "Suck it, Nerve?"

"Well..." I drift off.

She begins to laugh and so do I. We get to the bike and I give Vee her helmet... Her helmet. That sounds weird in my head. It's always just been my spare helmet, but now I'm calling it hers. Odd...

Before she puts on her helmet at look at her, really look at her for the first time since the whole incident. Her black eye was no longer as swollen, but the cut was still there. How did she not wake up during any of that? She didn't drink anything for the longest time, so nothing could've been slipped into something she had. I shake my head pushing away the thought as she puts on her helmet. I put mine on as well, getting on the bike.

Vee sits behind me, gripping as tightly as before. I turn back to her before starting the bike, "You're really afraid of this thing, aren't you?" She glances up to me, "Did you know it's fourth largest cause of death in america? So yes, to answer your question, I'm greatly afraid of this thing... So will you please just go already, I'm having a hard enough time back here." I chuckle slightly as I turn back around, reving the engine, then taking off.

Where should I go? No dares are buzzing on our phones, so we now have options... I drive to the bridge, I figured if she's afraid of my bike, she might as well see why I like it. The scenic route is always nice on this thing. We drive through the city and up to the bridge... It's always such a cool view... The lights shining off the rough water... the stars just barely visible behind the clouds. I notice her grip on me loosens ever so slightly as we drive over the bridge.

I decide to take her to a park I used to play at as a kid. When we arrive I notice it's not as grand as it used to be... The slide is no longer a shining metal, and there's only two swings instead of four. Weeds are sprouting up around the base of the small water fountain I wouldn't drink from to save my life.

"What are we doing at a park?" Vee asks giving me her helmet.

"Sightseeing." I respond jokingly, but realize Vee didn't understand the sarcasm when she gave me a confused expression.

"They have a swing set... We're here to swing." I tell her.

She nods as we walk over to the swings. You can see the buildings easily, lit up like Christmas trees. The bridge is right around the corner, which in hindsight- this isn't the best place for a park. We begin to swing casually. "Every other thought that runs through my head is questioning what the finale will be." Vee says softly.

My breath hitches in my throat at her comment, but I glance over at her as she fiddles with her thumbs, "What do you think it will be?"

She shrugs and turns to look at me, "I don't have a clue... That's the problem..."

I nod thinking over it all... The finales in the other countries.... I pray to God it isn't like the others. I hope some rule or law for the game was put up to keep it from being like the others... I hope something.. Anything was put in place to keep this finale from being like the others. Anything at all...
