"Life is tough, you just have to learn to take it day by day and have faith that in the end, everything is going to be okay."
Time To Move On.
I was devastated for what happened to us. I was transferred in another vessel because the company decided to sell the passenger ship, M/V Ferry Magic, where I was onboard and worked with. It's been my home for almost two years and I hated the idea of leaving that ship for just like that. But what I hated most was that our team, the whole F&B team were broken apart and especially me and my bestfriends were assigned seperately in different vessels.
It was so hard for me to start all over again, to meet new people and to adjust in a new F&B team in M/V Ferry Fantasy where I was transferred. I always compared them to my former teammates which I knew I was being unfair to them.
I need to move on, I need to accept the fact that being with them was not forever because we have our own different lives.
I sighed. I really missed them. I missed my two bestfriends.
"What's that sigh for?"
"Huh?" A handsome face grinning right in front of me outside the counter.
"Don't you know that sighing is bad luck in business?" He asked and confidently extended his one hand. "Hi, I'm Marc."
I rolled my eyes. I hesitantly took his hand and let go immediately. I was uncomfortable in handshaking. I then held my nameplate that was pinned at the left side of my poloshirt.
"Olivia." I said.
He's wearing cobalt blue poloshirt, the same uniform like mine, so he's not a passenger or a housekeeping steward.
"You're a new f&b staff?" I suddenly asked.
"No. I just got back from a few weeks leave and I guess you're the new here?" He answered and smiled at me charmingly. I thought his handsome but I rather say he's just cute in his own way.
"Uhm, not really. It's my fourth voyage since I embarked here so meaning I'm already fifteen days onboard here."
"Still you're new, Is this your first vessel?"
"No." I muttered.
"Cool! I never been transferred in another vessel," he grinned. "So what vessel did you came from?"
"Ferry Magic." I answered shortly.
"Really? I heard the company will going to sell that ship."
I sadly nodded.
"I knew someone who also came from that ship. Her name is Stephanie. Do you know her? She's beautiful and sexy right?" He said grinning.
I stiffened for awhile. Of course! I knew Stephanie, I knew her very well.
"Yeah, right." I answered, sarcasm in my voice. "And flirt." I added in whisper.
"What?" He asked.
I was going to say nothing but I was interrupted when someone patted his shoulder.
"Dude, stop flirting." He's Leandro, the F&B Team Leader. "We have tons of work to do, you will be transfer in another vessel if you prefer flirting than working."
I smiled slightly when I heard the word "flirting" and looked curiously to Leandro. Was he kidding or not?
"Dude! I'm not flirting. C'mon dude! I'm being friendly here." Marc reasoned out.
I smiled widely because I couldn't help it anymore. We only have few guest eating here at the Cafe in this hour so it's not really busy.
"Ah, Miss..." Leandro looked at my nameplate. "Olivia. You know falling for his charm is not a good idea, i'm sure you will end up crying. His the number one player here in Ferry Fantasy."
