Yunseo's POV (Meanwhile)
I put the pen down, feeling incredibly responsible and accomplished, looking at my approved consent signature for surgery. I smiled weakly at the paper in front of me before handing it back to the doctor.
"And I understand you have another question?" He turned to me.
"Yeah. Well, a request. The surgery is scheduled for months from now, but you said I could play rugby until then..."
"It's risky and I don't recommend it, but you're right... I did say that."
"I can only play with a doctor's note. Is there any way you could maybe...?" I tried the slightest bit of aegyo for the doctor, hoping I could convince him. He sighed deeply, but pulled out the prescription pad anyway.
"If you try and place blame on me for any injuries you sustain, I will screw your shoulder up for good," he said jokingly, but I knew there was some seriousness in it. It could potentially cost him his job, so I just had to make sure no one would try to sue the guy if I got injured. I smiled.
"Thank you so much! I promise if anything happens, it will only make the surgery more interesting for you!" He laughed, nodding. I accepted the completed doctor's note, bowing in thanks and taking my leave.
I opened the front door after returning home, lunging inside and punching the air in celebration. Youngjae and Jinyoung were standing in the striking zone, probably about to leave.
"What are you so happy about?" Youngjae asked.
"I have obtained the most necessary piece of gold and I am going to fuck up those prestigious assholes at the game tomorrow!" I said, slamming the doctor's note down on the kitchen counter. The two boys looked at me disapproving of my language, but I was too happy to care. Autumn ran over to the counter, yelping as she slipped across the hardwood, almost wiping out.
"You got a doctor's note!?" She almost yelled.
"Hell yeah I did! All it took was a little bit of aegyo and I was in!"
"You did aegyo!?" Youngjae asked, laughing hysterically, not being able to imagine it.
"Not only that!" I told him excitedly. "It worked!"
"Unbelievable!" He laughed. His cell phone rang and he answered it, putting it on speaker after I heard him greet our mom.
"Hi, Mom!" I said as Youngjae put the phone down on the counter.
"Hi honey! I didn't know you and Jae were together. It's short notice but I was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner? You two, Autumn, the boys, and Youngmin too. We won't be seeing the boys for a while so I thought I would put a meal together." I looked up for everyone's approval and agreed. Autumn agreed for herself and so did I.
"I don't think we have any plans, right?" Youngjae clarified with Jinyoung.
"We'll all be there, mom!" Jinyoung answered. It was sweet that one Got7 member's parents were everyone's. I'd never seen that kind of relationship besides Got7 namely. I would gladly accept them all into my family.
Dinner Time
Autumn and I got to my mom's house just after Youngmin, and the four of us sat on the deck, snacking on chips and catching up before the boys came over to mess up the house.
"How's your shoulder been?" Youngmin asked. I straightened up, unable to keep a smile off my face.
"Good enough to play in the rugby game tomorrow. I got a doctor's note," I beamed.
