Roger's P.O.V.

"Please, Fred. You can't tell anybody, especially not Roger!" Deaky begged the singer.

Well fuck. You really can hear everything in this house. Besides the fact I had been trying to find Deaky, heard him talking to Fred and heard my name, started listening in and now I know John's darkest secret, one that he doesn't want me to find out. Really should've kept your voice down Deaks.

And double fuck. Fred knew me too well to know what I had been doing last night. How could I face either of them now?

I plodded, disheartened, back into my bedroom. I just stood there, staring around the place.

Surprisingly, I didn't feel as outraged about Deaky going out with a man before as I thought I would be. He didn't know I was listening in, so wouldn't have lied, not to Fred. He did say it was years ago. Only a couple of dates. Still, I think the only thing about this situation was the fact that I was more of the adolescent now. The more innocent and uneducated about being with a man. Which just made me feel even more nervous about dating him.

What if he thought I was pathetic?

After him jumping out at me last night and seeing him in all the glory of just his boxers it rekindled the massive admiration and burn inside of me to make him mine once and for all. I had given myself a pep talk using Fred's advice and had psyched myself up for finally asking him out on a date today.

But now I wasn't so sure.

But either way, by the sounds of things, he still really liked me, so that's a bonus.

"Rog? Can you give me a hand with this amp? I want to put it in my room but I can't lift it on my own." Bri suddenly popped his head round my door to ask me the favour.

"Oh! Yeah, sure..." I scuttled after him and down the stairs, noticing Brian was already dressed.

"How long have you been up?" I asked.

"A couple of hours." He chuckled, "I couldn't really sleep and then when I did, I woke up really early, so just thought bugger it, and got up." He shrugged.

He grabbed one end of the amp and I lifted the other.

I started to take the stairs back up one at a time as I was going backwards, somehow we still managed to have a conversation whilst we did this.

"Yeah I had a shit night too." I smiled, "Are you still going to be working that other job in the evenings Bri?"

"Maybe for a couple more weeks, then I think I might be able to afford to quit. Spend more time with you guys if that is at all possible." He winked.

Freddie would love that, I thought.

"That would be great!"

We finally climbed the stairs and almost made it to Brian's room before we heard a sarcastic voice.

"Oh look at these strong boys! Let me admire whilst you two are at work." Freddie pouted and slanted his dark eyes, leaning against the door frame and watched us, making both me and Brian laugh and weakening our hold on the amp.

"Shut up you fucker!" Bri called as he struggled with the grip of the amp.

Thankfully we had managed to put it on the floor in Brian's room before we dropped it and it broke.

"Marvellous job, boys." Fred joked as he walked past Brian's room and down the stairs.

I began to walk out of his room before he grabbed my arm and span me around, Brian usually doesn't get all up in our private and personal business but seeing as though we're living with each other now I guess our private and personal business was all our business.
