LUCY

"I don't see the point in all this." I said. I was a warm summer day and of course, because of who we are, we couldn't just relax and enjoy it. Lockwood had a plan, a plan of which we had to go undercover for. We had of course done this once before but this was different. Me and Lockwood were going undercover as a couple. I made sure that I kept a relaxed face though I was in fact screaming into oblivion on the inside.

"It'll be fine Luce." Lockwood reassured. He wore casual attire consisting of a black under shirt and an open red plaid shirt. He had dark blue jeans and fancy slippers as I called them. I on the other hand wore a blue sundress and sandals. George and Flo were in charge of watching the other fake couple we were tailing.

This couple was not ones to be messed with Flo had warned, with sadly was right up Lockwood's ally. Messing with people you shouldn't mess with.

"Ready Luce?" Lockwood asked while fixing his hair for the tenth time today. He was the perfect picture of  calm and collected. I was not. He glanced at me and stopped. His eyes landed of the necklace he had given me last summer for Penelope Fittes party. He smiled his gigawatt smile and warmth flooded through me. I smiled and turned scarlet.

"I don't like the dress. You know I don't wear dresses." I said trying to break the silence.
"You look fine Luce. I think it fits you perfectly."

"Everyone ready?" George asked coming in with a black laptop. Flo followed with a headset. I had the microphone, Lockwood had the camera. If anything were to happen I could press a button and phone into Flo.

"As we'll ever be." Lockwood said taking my hand in his. We started for the door.

Ten minutes later we had sight of the two source smugglers. We were sitting at an outdoor restaurant. It was in no way fancy, but it was pretty. I took a sip of my water. Lockwood reached across and took my hand again. We devised a plan, well, more of a game. We were trying to out do each other with romantic gestures.

Well, Mr. Lockwood, let the games begin.

The two we were watching got up and began walking away. We got up and followed.

"Their walking east toward the market." I radioed in.

We kept pace with them, but still far enough back so they couldn't see us. Me and Lockwood followed hand in hand. As we were walking Lockwood removed his hand from mine and moved it to my waist. I rest my head on his shoulder. He stopped and picked a rose off the bush next to a small fountain and handed it to me. My cheek went scarlet as I took it from him.

We wandered our way to the park. The two settled down near a tree. They were obviously waiting for someone. About 10 yards from them was a musician playing the saxophone. Lockwood was eyeing the man with fascination. I took his hand and led him over. We listened to the man for a few minutes before heading to the lake.

"Its so nice out. You don't get many days like this." I said.

"To true. I wouldn't want to spend today with anyone else." He said.

"Holly would love to be in my spot."

"She would. But I would hate it if it was that way. She isn't like you."
I blushed madly.

The two stayed put for a long time. Soon night closed in and the park was vacant except for a few night watch, Fittes agents, and other kids who seemed to be with no one. Me and Lockwood were laying on the grass near the two. We heard a boom. Color lit the sky. It had been years since I had seem fireworks. I snuggled closer to Lockwood.

The two smugglers eyed us a couple time but soon settled into a similar position.

I looked at Lockwood to find him already looking at me. He seemed to be coming closer and closer. Soon his lips crashed into mine. We both pulled back and it was over before it had begun. Lockwood was red as a tomato. I looked no different.

I was so red and embarrassed that I hardly noticed the man dressed in all black coming towards the two smugglers. I nudged Lockwood.

"Flo, we have them." I whispered jumping up along side a still blushing Lockwood.

When we got home I ran straight for my room and screamed into my pillow for 5 hours.
