After a while, Hanamaki apologized for crying and looking less manly in front of her. "Sorry about that, Hisui."
"It's fine! You really needed to let the tears out. Do you feel better?"
"Yeah, I feel like I can think clearly."
"What are you going to do now?"
"Huh?"
"Now that Interhigh is over for us...what will you do? Are you going to leave?" Hisui tapped her fingers, in hopes the next reply from him will be something good.
"I'm staying."
"Really?!"
"Yeah. Besides, those three will definitely be there for Spring Tournament. You're coming with us, you know?"
"Yes!" Hisui was happy; they might have lost, but their goal to the top remained connected!
Hanamaki smiled with a light blush. "You're really something. Hey, did you follow me with the intent to comfort me?"
"It's better to cry it out than leaving it in."
He realized it must have worried her to see them like this. Hanamaki decided on something important. "Hisui, can you do me a favor?"
"Yes?"
"The other three are hopeless idiots like I am. You think you can make them cry it out?"
"Sure! Leave it to me!"
The Head Coach will drive the main regulars' minibus to take everyone back to Seijoh.
"Iwa-chan, Iwa-chan, let's sit at the back of the bus!"
"Hn." He's far too exhausted to argue with her so he will just go along with whatever stupid thing she came up with. He got onto the bus with her and sat at the back with her. Everyone else was sitting in whatever seat available, preferably looking out of the window and think about the match they lost. Iwaizumi was the same, he just wanted to look out of the window and look away from the events until reality hits him hard like his fist impacting upon Oikawa's or Hisui's head.
"Hm, hm!" She patted her lap with much enthusiasm, wanting Iwaizumi to rest his head on it.
Iwaizumi looked away, blatantly ignoring her. However, Hisui was not one to give up so she forced Iwaizumi's head to her lap.
"What are you-" He angrily whispered but he calmed down when he saw a gentle smile on her face. He wondered why that was, her smiles seemed to make people less stressed and troubled. When things trouble him, she would appear in his cloudy days as a little sun. No matter the situation, Hisui would always smile about it and laugh about it. "...Idiot." He muttered when he grabbed the end of her skirt, wrinkling it within his hold. "Why are you making me cry at a time like this?!" He tried to control his own voice within the bus, not wanting anyone to turn around.
"This is all I can do. I can't play alongside you all in official tournaments...but when it's over, this is all I can do." Hisui said to him, "Besides, Makki told me to do so, and it's good to let it out sometimes."
"Goddamit...!" Iwaizumi cursed again and again in broken whispers, tears staining her skirt. "I wanted to win...!"
"I know."
"We wanted to go to the Nationals...!"
"I know."
"We wanted to go to the top...! W-we wanted to show you what the National's stadium is like...!"
