Ave's pov:-
                          
Nicole, Kelsey and I were currently in my mom's car heading towards Amber's. With my mother. Yeah, my mom. Ohkay so how did it happen? Long-short story. When we woke up in the morning after our night out together we were greeted by my lovely mother. Apparently, she had the keys to Nikki's house because she was like a daughter to her. And she was going to become her daughter in law in the future. Lovely.
                          
Our plan about going to Amber's flew out the window; this is what we thought. Well my mommy had different plans, she came there just to take us to Amber's because she was having a baby shower. Just great there I was shaking with anticipation and Nikki and Kelsey had the same grim expressions on their faces. This was going to be a long day, I knew for sure.
                          
"Hey. Why are you girls so quiet? Mostly you all are chattering my head off whenever you’re together. But here you all are, so quiet and your faces look as if you are all constipated. Lol." My mom said as she laughed.
                          
"No mom, that's not like that. You know we were having a nice girl’s time when you interrupted it with Amber's business. Oh we so fu*king love her." I said with sarcasm.
                          
"Oi young lady no swearing. I know Amber isn’t the nicest; well she got it from her mother. Never mind that but hey she’s pregnant. And it's her baby shower. Do it for the baby at least, it's your nephew or niece baby girl. Plus Phil is a nice boy." She said.
                          
"Of course mom yeah I'm happy for her," I said with as much joy as I could muster.
                          
"Yeah Gloria I'm happy for her too. But I'm only confused about one thing, what is Phil doing with her? He’s such a nice guy. Whatever." Kelsey said.
                          
"Hey! That's mean, you shouldn't be saying things like that. Plus it's a good thing that she's with Phil so there's a chance for Ava and…" Nicole said then she realized mom was with us and now she was suspicious.
                          
I face palmed. Shit Nikki and her big mouth.
                          
Kelsey just glared at her and then all three of us looked at Mom who by the way was looking at us too suspiciously. From the front seat, all three of us were now beyond nervous.
                          
"Ava and Nikki, what chance?" She asked Nikki.
                          
"Ugh." Nikki just started when she was interrupted by Kelsey.
                          
"Chance for Ave to you know avoid her. When she was single she always used to stop by your house almost every day. Uh you know now that she’s married she has her own priorities. We all know how we despise Amber hehe." Kelsey said.
                          
Mom looked convinced. Well one point for Kelsey, she saved our butts. Whew!
                          
"Oh okay yeah I know but be good today; all three of you. It's her big day okay guys. And now I'm going to sleep, I'm sleepy okay."
                          
Thank god!
                          
"Thank you, Elsa thanks whew," I said and Nikki just apologized. We were whispering because we didn't want the driver to get any idea plus my mom was not a heavy sleeper. Today was going to be eventful. I was going to get my answers from Amber and tell her everything.
                          
Dyl' s POV-
                          
I searched for Ava everywhere in school today; she wasn’t present. Hell even her redhead friend was not here. I didn't know where she went. Was she mad about yesterday? I mean after our argument in the park, I thought it was subsided for the moment. I hoped she wasn't. Who was going to help me with Amber then?
                          
"Dude stop it. You look like you are in a different Universe. Stop it, man. I know you’re thinking about Ava. Why she isn’t here but hey liven up man. Maybe she’s sick or something. She’s a straight A student from what I know so if she is missing school, something must have happened." Brandon said to me.
                          
"Yeah right I guess you’re right. I'll talk to her tomorrow. It's just I actually wanted to apologize and talk about um Amber you know." I said.
                          
"I know, do it tomorrow okay? Now let's go for soccer or else coach will kick our asses. You are the new quarterback dude; lucky man. You just got here two days ago and you’re the new quarterback already." He said.
                          
"Oh I'm the best you know. Ha.” I added; we laughed as we headed for practice.
                          
"Hey! Brand! Dyl! Wait up guys." We looked back to see our friend Scott running towards us.
                          
"What man! And why the hell are you running like this on the school campus?" Brandon asked.
                          
"Umm guys we are in trouble. The whole football team; as we all know that Dylan is the new quarterback and well, it did not go well with Lucas who was the former quarterback. He kind of threatened everyone." He told us.
                          
"What?! That shithead! I'm just going to check it out. Jealous moron. Let's go and see what the hell that pig is saying. If he wants to say anything he should say it to my face." I said. Brandon agreed and we went to Lucas.
                          
That guy had the nerve to threaten the team. Shitface!
                          
I found Lucas and punched him in the face with Brandon and Scott behind me.
                          
"Look here you rascal, don't you dare threaten people about me behind my back. If you have something to say, say it right to me directly." I said.
                          
"Oh Dylan what do you think?! I worked so hard for this position and it goes to you?! You don’t deserve it!" He shouted.
                          
"Yes, he does deserve it, Lucas, he’s a better player, much better than you," Brandon said back.
                          
"Yeah. Stop your shit and shove it up your as*." Scott added.
                          
"You! All you guys-“ Lucas was about to say something when he was interrupted by Coach.
                          
"What’s with the scene guys and why the hell aren’t you all practicing?" He asked well literally shouted at the whole team.
                          
"You can Lucas, coach," Brandon answered.
                          
"What's the scene, Lucas? What happened?” Coach asked Lucas who was clearly speechless.
                          
When he didn't say anything, he looked at me and I sighed and told him everything.
                          
He looked downright pissed.
                          
"Now now Lucas you threatened the whole team. Dylan was selected because he’s a better player. If you want it so much then improve your skills, instead of this shit. And for threatening the team you are suspended for this season.” He stated.
                          
"But coach you-" Lucas said as he was stopped by Coach who told him that this was final. We smirked.
                          
Lucas just glared at us. Fu*ker got it right.
                          
"I will get you back Dylan, just watch me.” He said while trudging off the field. We just laughed at him and continued practice before coach strangled us. I just hoped Cupcake came tomorrow. I had to talk to her. Hopefully, I’d try to make it up to her for my behaviour too. Yeah!
