After this mornings phone call, I couldn't sleep. So many questions ran through my head and the worst thing is that I didn't know the answer to most of them. I was wide awake the rest of the morning, the questions were so frustrating and stressing that I couldn't even close my eyes before another questions popped up in my head.
That brings me up to now. I'm currently lying in bed not bothering to get up. I hear Rosebelle yelling from her bedroom and immediately get up and run out my room.
"Mommy! Mommy!
I run towards her crib and pick her up. Tears are running down her face and I try to sooth her down.
"It's okay baby, mommy is here." I whisper in her ear. Soon enough she stops crying and starts hiccuping.
I look at the blue clock hanging on the wall. The hands pointing to 10:35 am.
I cursed under my breath remembering that I promised my dad I'd be in town by 12. It takes an hour to get to town and I still have a lot to do.
Taking Rose to the kitchen. I serve her breakfast and make myself coffee. After washing the dishes I place Rose down and tell her to go play while I quickly clean the house.
After cleaning the house as fast as I could. I check the time. 11:02 am. My dad won't be bad if I'm an hour late, right?
"Rose baby. Shower time!" I shout. Most kids her age would be running around crying and hiding to avoid shower time, but Rose loves showering.
"Yay!" She squeals. Taking her to the bathroom. I fill the bathtub with water and bubbles.
"Bobbles!" She giggles as I pour water on her body. I smile at her cuteness and she just splashes water around.
Wrapping her little body in her Cinderella towel I carry her to her bedroom. After drying her I slip her into a cute outfit that we could match in. A white lace top with maroon skinny jeans and cream colored flats. I brush her brown wavy hair and pull it into a high pony tail.
"You wanna watch Curious George, while momma takes a shower?" I ask my one year old. She nods excitingly and I nod.
Placing her on the couch I turn the tv on and change it to her favorite show.
I quickly go into the bathroom and strip off my clothes. Turning the shower to cold I step inside. Washing my hair first, then scrubbing my body and lastly washing it away. I grab the towel from the counter and wrap it around my body before the cold breeze can hit my body.
Just as I walked into my bedroom my phone started ringing. I picked it up from the nightstand and swiped the screen to answer it.
"Hey daddy." I say coolly.
"Ask her if she's still coming!" I hear someone shout from the background.
"Nichole honey, are you still coming?" My dad asks.
"Yeah. I'm just a little late." I say.
"Okay do you need me to send a driver or—"
"Dad I'm fine, I'm a big girl and I can drive myself. Thank you very much." I say rolling my eyes.
I put the phone on speaker and throw it on my bed. Looking through my closest I pull out the same thing Rose has on. White lace top, maroon skinny jeans, and instead of cream colored flats I have cream colored heels. Luckily they're only three and a half inches tall.
"Nichole we're meeting at La Breeze is that okay?" My dad asks.
"Um yeah that's fine." I say.
