Kyungsoo flips through the paperwork for his promotion and reads almost every word with focused eyes. Most of it is just the details of his duties as a donor, but something about that seems vague to him. It tells him that as a donor he will be a part of keeping mankind thriving and helping repair the world from The Invasion through Reconstruction, but it does not say much more than that. It does not say how he'll be helping mankind or the world, it just tells him that he will responsible for fulfilling this assignment until he is no longer needed. He wonders when he won't be needed and he wonders if he can return to his old life when he is no longer needed as a donor. He likes working as a caretaker at the hospital and he likes going to the library when Ryeowook or Baekhyun let him leave early. Kyungsoo likes what his life has become since he's started spending time with Jongin again and he doesn't think he's ready to give it up yet to be something as vague as a donor.

But he endorses the final page with his signature anyway, sighing under his breath. He hopes it's all worth it. He slides the pen back into the slot on the side of fabric case and then stands up to walk it over to the desk. Jinyoung looks at him when he stops, noticing the tablet in his hands afterward.

"You have completed the paperwork I presume?" he says to Kyungsoo and takes it from him.

"Yes," Kyungsoo says. Jinyoung nods and uses his finger to skim through pages, making sure that he has signed in all the necessary places.

"Very well," he says, handing it back to Kyungsoo. "You may go have a seat and I will tell the President that you are finished."

"Thank you," Kyungsoo says and bows before walking away. Jinyoung waits until Kyungsoo is sitting with the tablet in his lap to press the red call button on the telephone, leaning down toward it and speaking in a low voice.

"He's done."

"Good," Siwon says from the other line. "Send him in."

Jinyoung takes his finger off the button and sits back up. "Kyungsoo," he says with a smile now on his face. Kyungsoo looks at him. "The President will see you now."

"Oh," Kyungsoo says, standing up and stopping to bow at Jinyoung once more. "Thank you." Jinyoung watches as he scurries inside, his eyes narrowed ever so slightly. When the door closes, he sighs and goes back to his work.

"Kyungsoo, hello," the President says and Kyungsoo bows at him.

"Hello, sir," he says. "I have completed the paperwork for my promotion as you have requested."

"Yes, Jinyoung told me," he says, leaning forward to take the tablet from Kyungsoo. He takes a silent moment to skim through it, triple checking that he has signed in all the necessary places. "Very well," he says, shutting off the tablet and laying it on the table. "I will have this filed for you and you can begin in two months time. You may have the time off from your current assignment until then if you so please, but if you do not and choose to continue to work, your hours will be more flexible."

"Thank you very much, sir," Kyungsoo says and bows again. "But I do have one question if you do not mind me asking."

"No, please, ask me," the President replies, leaning forward and taking his back off the chair. "I am here to offer you as much help as you may need."

Kyungsoo smiles. "What exactly will I be doing as a donor?" he asks. "The paperwork said I will be helping mankind and the world, I know, but how will I be doing that?"

The President hesitates for a moment, chuckling a bit as he looks down. "Well," he says as he looks back, folding his hands together before meeting Kyungsoo's eyes, "I am afraid, Kyungsoo, that I, even as President, am not able to share that with you at this moment. It will require some training, so everything you may have inquiries about will be answered during that period of time."
