I woke up from my dreamless sleep to screaming children. So, I instantly woke up cranky. I would yell at Jason and Gavin because they are my brothers and fighting is what siblings do. It’s that way we tell each other that we love each other. But I would never yell at Lucy! She is just so adorable! But the boys are just demons!
Before I wanted to fully wake up, I rolled over to feel for Connor. Not feeling him next to me, I knew right away that he wasn’t in bed. But before I could ponder anymore thought of where he might be, the bathroom door opened. And the case was solved of where Connor had gone to.
He exited the bathroom full dressed and wet hair. You could easily tell that he had woken around fifteen minutes before me. Connor looked at me and we didn’t say a word. I quickly got off the bed and gathered clothing so I could take a shower before I had to meet my parents. As I was at my suitcase, I could feel his stare piercing through me.
My shower was quick and I was our within fifteen minutes. Within the next thirty minutes, I was fully dressed and my hair was even finished. I walked down that stairs from our room to find that everyone was sitting down and waiting for me. “Rosie, could you take any longer getting ready,” my twin brothers asked rudely and the same time. I have to admit, they are catching on to this sarcasm thing pretty fast. I can honestly say that they are making me proud. Sort of.
“Shut up, Jason. And you, too, Gavin,” I retorted back to them. It only took me forty-five minutes to get ready. I didn’t think it took me that long. Anyway, waited for everyone else to get ready for breakfast and all five of us made our way down to the hotel restaurant to meet our parents.
When we got there, our parents had already ordered for all of us kids. The apparently are mind readers. Well, for me at least. I was happy because that ordered me extra bacon!!!!! I love bacon! It was turning out to be a good day for me so far. Well, I just hoped that my day would keep going this way. I always liked it when it was nice.
My bubble was soon popped by my over peppy mother. “Rosalynn and Connor, we were all thinking that we would go shopping for the wedding.” I swear, you could see the horror on my face as I heard the dreadful news.
“What exactly would Rosalynn and I be shopping for, Mrs. Adams,” asked Connor in a calm and, if my eyes were deceiving me, did he look somewhat excited?! Right now, I really hate weddings.
“You two will be searching for the china. It wouldn’t be that hard. That mall near here has many different stores that you both can look in,” stated my mother.
“Yes, Mrs. Adams,” answered Connor.
Right now, I’ve never dreaded going shopping anymore than I have now! Lord, help me!
