Cole drove me back to building C where Adam began teaching me how to read, apparently the scratch marks on the stone where letters which spelled Momma's name. When the day was over I spent most of the night spelling out everyone's names.

I looked around my room, it was still blank and bare. Me and Amanda had begun getting our paints and such ready when she had to leave to what she called home. So now there was plastic on the floor and more white stuff on the walls. Amanda had said those will help us put up the design. I turned to look outside my windows to see the dark outdoors. There were little bits of light in the sky, the pieces appeared like someone crushed up the sun and threw it across the black sky. A large round one stood in what appeared to be the middle of the sky, the sight was breath taking. I sighed and ran my mind over what has happened the past few days. It was nice having something to see when I looked through my mind. Then I came upon the memory of us in that huge room where I met the superiors.

My mission, I had completely forgotten. Even though it has been in my face all day, I had forgotten I am supposed to kill off the entire human race. My eyes widened, I was going to have to kill Cole, and Amanda. I shook my head. I'll hide them where the superiors can't find them. I will never kill Cole or Amanda, Never! I thought feeling my nerves quake under my skin again.

"Momma, what do I do? I can't kill them!" I was shaking and remembered the girl who bumped into me at the mall. I was going to have to kill her to, everyone. I remembered the faces I memorised in the cafeteria that first day I was here. My body shook harder, I was going to have to kill all of them.

"I don't want to anymore! I'm not perfect either! Why do I get to live? Momma?" I asked, knowing she was watching me, Cole didn't lie. She was here, she could see me. Please tell me what to do. I pleaded over and over till my eyes and mind failed me and I fell asleep.

I woke to a strange noise outside my room, I rose from my bed and grabbed my blanket up around me.

"Who's there?" I asked walking towards my door, I didn't know why I felt scared. But my nerves just made me feel someone out there wanted to hurt me.

"Open up Devil!" Someone outside the door yelled. I looked behind me outside my window it was still nighttime, long before anyone should be here for work.

"Who are you?" I asked again looking through the little hole in the door. A dark skinned man stood on the other side along with a few other men they were all holding something long. I had never seen those before, the hairs on my neck rose. I felt something pulling on my arm, instinctively I followed the pull as quietly as I could.

"Let us in Devil! We have business with you!" I shivered and ran over to my windows. Adam had told me they open yesterday just not how, I had to get out of here. Something told me these men didn't want to have a friendly talk with me. I shook the window just as I heard hard smashing coming from my front door. I searched the edges of the window quickly, strangely my heart wasn't racing, I just knew I had to get out of this room fast. I saw a latch on the window edge and I pulled it up and the window came partially loose I pushed it open and sneaked out just as the door was smashed open. I shoved the window shut and started running as fast as I could. I needed to find someone who would help me. So I ran, I knew where building A was but only that it was the farthest building from here.

"Building D it is." I told myself and turned toward the direction of building D. My breath was already coming heavily and my lungs were cold with exhaustion, I turned to see if the men were after me to see them just standing there outside or leaning out of my windows. They were holding up the long objects I presumed to be weapons and realized I needed to run faster. There was a loud bang and something whizzed by me I screamed and jumped out of the way. I made a quick decision to zigzag rather than running straight. If whatever whizzed past me came from those weapons I needed to be something hard to hit. My legs were fire and my sides ached but I had to keep going I heard a few more bangs, but luckily I had found a patch of grass that had grown up past my hips, hopefully the grass hid me well enough that the flying objects wouldn't hit me.
