~I told her that I loved her, was not sure if she heard. The roof was pretty windy and she didn't say a word~
To say she was shocked to receive a letter from the guy who broke her heart 2 years ago would have been an understatement. She nearly started to cry at all the memories that suddenly became alive again. She hurried inside to not start crying on the street and ran up into her bedroom. After probably hours of her just staring at the letter, she finally had the courage to open it.
Dearest Kristin,
I know that you are probably shocked to receive a letter from me, but please read it till the end.
I want to tell you how incredibly sorry I am for everything I did to you; I know that I already said that one hundred times, but you should know that I meant it everytime and that I still mean it.
I miss you so much, Kristin, I can't even describe it with words. It's crazy how you can still miss somebody like crazy after 2 years, isn't it?
I don't know if you even care about me anymore, but I've been absolutely miserable without you. Everything was always the same and everything was so boring without seeing your smile everyday and feeling your lips on mine. It's absolutely crazy how much I miss you and deep down in my heart I know that I will never be able to move on and that I will miss you forever.
But the real reason I'm writing this letter to you is because as you possibly heard Wales is in the semi-final and we're playing against Portugal on Wednesday. It would mean the world to me if you could come and cheer for me one last time because you are my good luck charm and without you I know that we'd lose. I understand it if you don't want to come, but I still hope you will, so I can look into your beautiful eyes once again and maybe, just maybe you'll be able to forgive me. Please come.
You know I will always love you.
-AaronWith tears in her eyes Kristin took the ticket for a flight from London to Lyon and the VIP-ticket for the game out of the envelope. She wiped the tears away and thought about what to do. 'He broke my heart', she thought, but couldn't stop thinking about what he wrote about missing her so much. 'I have to go', she finally decided because she missed him just as much as he missed her. She quickly pulled out her bag and put a few important things inside of it. Then she searched for her Wales jersey and carefully placed it on her bed. 'I can't believe I'm doing this' she thought and sat down in front of her bed. 'What if it was just a joke?', she asked herself, but quickly put that thought away and got ready to go to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a very long day.
She awoke to the annoying ringtone of her phone, signaling that it was 9 a.m. and she needed to get ready. After she quickly ate something and changed, she got into the car and drove to the airport. 'I should have put my Wales jersey of Bale on' she thought as she arrived at the airport and felt everybody staring at her because they were confused to see Aaron Ramsey's ex-girlfriend walking around the airport in his jersey.
After she finally got through all the controls, she sat down and waited for her flight to be called. After short 30 minutes she could already get into the plane and they arrived just an hour later. The time flew by too fast and she was more than nervous because of the whole situation. Because the stadium wasn't going to open until 6 p.m. she sat down at a cafe in Lyon and tried to think of all the possible scenarios; maybe it was all a joke of one of Aaron's teammates or maybe Aaron really missed her and meant everything he wrote. Again the time flew by way too fast and Kristin found herself in the stadium, to be exact in the area that was reserved for the player's families. She saw a few familiar faces, but decided not to talk to anybody. When the team of Wales ran out of the tunnels to warm up she just cheered along with everybody else until her and Aaron's eyes met. She quickly looked away, but a wide smile came to Aaron's face; he couldn't believe that she actually came. 'This is my last chance', he thought and promised himself to do everything he can to get his girl back.
Kristin glanced at him once in a while and couldn't help, but smile at the sight of his all too familiar features. When it was time to kick off, Kristin wasn't only nervous about her and Aaron, but also about the game. She had watched every single game of the welsh national team and she was so proud of the boys. The referee blew the whistle and she became even more nervous, but much to everyone's dislike nothing happened in the first half. She caught Aaron looking at her as he and his teammates walked off the pitch and she couldn't help but wonder if she was the cause that he couldn't really concentrate on the game.
She shook all of her worries away as the second half started. 'They're going to win', she ensured herself.
Nothing important happened until the 90th minute, in which Bale got the ball from one of Portugal's defenders, passed it to Aaron and he scored the most important and most beautiful goal of his career, making all the welsh fans cheer loudly. Right after the goal, Aaron first made a heart sign with his hands and then pointed up at Kristin. She couldn't believe what was happening; Aaron really dedicated this goal to her, which was the best way possible to show his love for her and Wales will go the final. She felt the tears rushing down her face as the referee blew the whistle. She couldn't even progress what was happening as everybody around her started to cheer, instead she just kept her eyes on Aaron and let the tears roll down her cheek. Aaron made a sign for her to come onto the pitch and she didn't hesitate for a second. As she was finally able to find her way through all the celebrating fans she stormed onto the pitch and ran towards Aaron. "I love you. I love you so much." He exclaimed and wrapped his arms around her to spin her around in the air. He was beginning to think she didn't hear him because of all the screaming from the fans as she finally pressed her lips to his' and they shared a long kiss. "I love you, too, Aaron." She cried out and he wrapped his arms around her as tightly as he could.
At the end of the day both of them knew that they will always love each other, no matter what.[ Based on the song End of the day by One Direction ]
