||"We need hope, or else we cannot endure."||
"A compound? Where?"
"Not too far off, but, it has plenty of space, and I figured it was time to put you two somewhere more comfortable," Tony pulled off his glasses, leaning back in his chair. Wanda and Pietro locked eyes for a moment, and he shrugged his shoulders, leaving the decision for her.
She loved the tower, it's a place where she mourned Pietro's death; a place where she grew a bond with Steve; a place where her and Natasha laughed together; a place where Bruce listened to her; a place where her and Tony forgave each other, without having to actually speak the words.
The tower was her home.
"What do you say, kid?"
Her eyes wandered around the lab, then out to the living room where she could see Clint and Natasha talking, and she even looked over to the balcony, where Vision stood, staring out into nothing. Perhaps it wouldn't be a permanent move, maybe just a few months. And if she didn't like it, she could always come back.
She looked back at Tony, his eyes hopeful, and she gave him a gentle smile. "You said there's a pool?"
"I'll put in five more if that's what you want."
Wanda grinned, shaking her head. "One is just fine."
"Perfect! Now, I suggest you go on and start packing. I'll call a car over and you'll be on your way when you're ready."
"Will you be going to?" Wanda asked him, heading for the door. He tilted his head, spreading his arms.
"Of course."
Pietro and Wanda made their way downstairs, and her eyes stung slightly as exhaustion began to creep up on her. After her and Steve arrived back at the tower an hour before, she was tempted to head straight to her room and fall asleep in his arms, but Pietro dragged her upstairs, telling her that Tony wanted to talk with them.
Her sleep had fallen the moment Tony offered her and Pietro a new place to stay, but now, after she agreed to go to the new compound, she felt that same exact sleep beginning to crawl up her legs.
"Tony says we can train there, with all of the space and stuff."
Pietro linked his arm around hers as they walked down the stairs, and she was grateful that he was holding her up. "Good, at least you'll be able to run around. You didn't do much of it in Sokovia."
"Exactly."
They stepped down into the living room, and Vision turned to look at her, his hypnotic eyes whirring.
"You can also start training again, at least when you're not with the Professor. The extra training could really work wonders for you."
The twins walked over to the bar, sitting up on the stools, the conversation between Natasha and Clint moving into the background. The rings on Wanda's fingers glistened under the gold lights of the bar, and she suddenly thought of something.
Or actually, she thought of someone.
"Will you be coming with me when I go to the school?" she said, watching as her brother poured her a glass of water. His hand froze over her glass for a second before returning to his task, and she debated on changing the subject, but words fell out of her mouth before she could stop them. "I like her, that girl--Katarina. You're different around her."
"Am I?"
"Yes. You seem...I don't know, relaxed when she's next to you. I think you should start going to the school with me, so you can spend more time with her."
