~2 to 3 Months Later~
"I'm so tired hm." Deidara says as we enter the base, just returning from a mission that took quite a long time. I nod in response as we head to Pein's office to give a mission report. I had been put on Sasori's and Deidara's team after Itachi's death last month, but life is good.
"Mission successful Pein. We're going to get some rest." Koku's voice rings out. Pein nods and I walk out of the room with Deidara at my side.
"Oh wait, Deidara, I need you to go on a solo mission after you take your nap. It'll only take you a few hours. You should be back by morning." Pein says.
"Yes, leader." Deidara says as we continue to walk out of the room.
"You know Hay, ever since you got here, he's been much more lenient with mission and stuff, hm." Dei says as we walk to the hall our rooms are on. I look at him skeptically before nodding.
We get to the hall our rooms are on after a couple of seconds. My room is farther down than his, but he walks with me to mine.
"Goodnight, Haleigh." Deidara says as he wraps an arm around my shoulders. I pat his back and pull away from him and go to my room and close the door silently.
'You still love him, don't you master?' Koku says.
'Shut up and let me sleep, Koku.' I say as I flop onto my bed and close my eyes. Far too soon, morning came and I was forced to get out of bed by the sun.
'I hate mornings.' I mentally grumble as I straighten my pajamas and exit my room to go get food.
'Look on the bright side master, Deidara should be back from his mission.' Koku says. I make my way to the kitchen and look around. Only Kakuzu and Sasori.
"Deidara is still on his mission." Sasori says as he polishes the arm of a small black puppet. I nod at him and put a bagel in the toaster and cut up a green apple for my breakfast.
After I eat, I went to the living room and sat on the couch next to Kakuzu, who left the kitchen before me. There was a larger seat next to Tobi, but something about him makes me highly uneasy.
"Where's your boyfriend? You're never in here." Kakuzu says, glancing at me. I rear back and punch him in the shoulder, successfully knocking him off of the couch. I smirk to myself as he grumbled in pain and sat next to Tobi as I stretched my legs out on the couch. Just then, Hidan walked in.
"Hey fucke- holy shit, Haleigh you've got a huge ass! Look! Kakuzu fucking look! She never comes out so we never see it, but she's wearing shorts and you can- OW YOU FUCKING SLUT!" I quickly get tired of him talking about my body so I get up and kick him in the dick. I make a hand sign and Koku appears on my shoulder.
"Say another word and you won't be able to praise you're stupid God anymore." I say and walk outside to the training ground. I've been working on bringing out my demon form on command for quite some time now, and I'm getting better each time I use it. I even talk to Mother Darkness from time to time, turns out, it was her talking to me each time I thought it was my adoptive mother's spirit.
I put my hands together and pull deep inside and let the demon chakra mix with my regular chakra. It feels like ice is filling my veins every time I do it, which is surprisingly calming. After a minute of summoning the chakra I walk over to the small pond nearest me and look at my reflection. Yep. I'm in my demon form. I then retract the demon chakra and return to normal.
I look up at the sky and see that the sun is already at its highest point. That means it's already 12 o'clock or later.
'Deidara should be back from his mission already.' I think to myself as I go back inside the base and head to Pein's office.
