3rd Grade || Tiana
                          
"Come on babygirl, its the first day. Let's go make you some friends."  mama said dragging me out the house.
                          
She loved school days. She knew the more I went the smarter I would get.

We got to the school.
                          
Benson Charter Academy
                          
The kids my age and younger running around the schoolyard as the parents conversed and watched.
                          
Me and mama carry on inside the school, as we got to a bright yellow and red classroom, we stop at the doorway.
                          
She kneels to my height and sighs and gives me her million dollar smile.
                          
"This is it baby... you go in there and show them what you're worth. Show them that Tiana Coleman can be someone." 
                          
I nod my head. I wanna make my mama proud. That's my goal in my life. 
                          
I choke up a response. 
                          
"yes mama, I got your back." i say giggling and giving her a final hug.
                          
Mama leaves and just before I make my way to the classroom, mama looks back once more and waves. 
                          
I wave once more and head inside the classroom. 
                          
I walk into the class and everyone is either talking or playing. 
                          
I find a desk with my name in it which was sat in a 4 desk group. 
                          
I feel a tap on my shoulder as I wait for teacher.
                          
I turn around to see one of the most prettiest girls I have ever seen.
                          
I smile and she speaks nervously
                          
"H-hi... Im Avalon." 
                          
I giggle and slightly hit her shoulder.
                          
"No need to be nerveous girl. I'm Tiana and my mama says if you're ever nerveous just do it." I say smiling.
                          
She smiles and giggles. 
                          
"We should be friends. I mean if y-you want to." 
                          
I laugh and say, "Of course. Where do you sit in the class?" 
                          
She laughs "Here."
                          
"Well welcome to the group." i smile.
                          
As Avalon sits down, two boys come up to the table.
                          
They sit down and look at us. The one with the dimples speaks up first. 
                          
"Im Nathan, and this is Samuel or Sam, we sit here and... thats it."
                          
"Um hi... Im Tiana and this is Avalon. and welcome to the group; which I want to name team chicken nuggets." I say giggling at my jokes.
