"That's yours?"

"Indeed so," James responded.

I shouldn't be shocked since James was the commander of Planet Niribu, the next in line to be leader. But still, I was. I could just imagine what was inside the stunning house. The vehicle slowed to stop near the front entrance and James opened the door. He helped me out into my wheelchair that was in the trunk. James rolled me towards the door grunting as he lifted the wheelchair slightly to get over the stone steps.

James got out a gold key that in the back pockets of his pants and unlocked the door. Immediately, there was sounds of loud barking. A German Shepard came running towards James and I knew this was the k-9 named Zeus. Zeus jumped into James's arm while licking his face happily.

"I missed you too Zeus," James said with a grin on his face.

My heart instantly warmed at the scene in front of me. Zeus hopped back down from his arms and took notice of me. He growled and I bit my lip worriedly.

"She's a friend, down boy," James calmly instructed to Zeus.

Zeus then slowly stepped towards me and I stood frozen still. It wasn't like I had much of a choice as I was stuck in my wheelchair. He sniffed my wounded ankle and licked it. I smiled reaching my hand to feel his fur. It was soft like a carpet and Zeus seemed to enjoy it as his tail wagged.

"Alright Zeus, leave the girl alone now," Commanded an unfamiliar male voice.

My eyes snapped up to meet friendly yellow eyes. He was tall with slicked back jet black hair. The man was also wearing a suit and appeared to be in his thirties.

"This is my butler Zack but, I like to refer to him as my close friend. He took care of Zeus and also helped me bring your sword to the hotel room," James introduced.

My mind was suddenly cleared as I remembered when James told me a friend brought the sword to the hotel room.

"It's nice to meet you, Zack. I'm Sapphire," I greeted as I put my hand out.

Zack stepped towards me and shook my hand for a few moments.

"Oh I know who you are. James told me a lot about you, it's very nice to meet you too."

Then, Zack turned to James and they hugged each other with a brotherly-like laugh. They mumbled something to each other that I couldn't hear and James chuckled softly. He then went towards to me and shut the door behind me as he started pushing me towards a case of spiraling stairs. With all the excitement, I didn't get to take in my surroundings.

The mansion was enormous as there was a chandler hanging above me. The stairs were covered with a red velvet carpet while the wooden walls were dark and polished.

"Hmm, I may have to carry you up the stairs. As much as I adore this house, the one bad thing about it is that there's no elevator," James spoke.

"That's okay, you'll only have to carry me for a month and a half," I teased him playfully.

James groaned playing with me back. He looked so happy in that moment as his lips curled into a smile, it almost seemed like the killer James never existed. But, he did. He was just waiting on the other side for James to call out for him. The side that I hated with all my might. James lifted me up in his arms and I clung onto his neck as he gingerly went up the steps. Zeus was trailing behind us panting with his tongue out.

"Zack if you could bring her crutches that's in the trunk, I would be grateful!" James called out once we were on the second floor.

"On its way!" Zack called back.

James carried me through a short hallway into a bedroom at the end of it. When we went inside I gasped. It was beautiful as the walls were painted a sapphire blue. The bed was covered in golden sheets while there was a dresser to the side with a mirror.

"Is this is my bedroom?" I breathed out in amazement.

"Of course, mine is right next door."

James then settled me down on the bed and he sat down beside me. His hand went up to my cheek as he stroked it. I leaned into the touch liking the feel of his rough hands. James then leaned forward to me and our lips pressed together sweetly. Before the kiss could deepen, there was a cough. I pulled away quickly seeing that Zack and Zeus were at the doorway. I blushed as I could feel my cheeks burning.

"Thank you Zack," James thanked awkwardly.

Zack placed the crutches near the dresser with one eyebrow quirked at James. He then left motioning for Zeus to follow him downstairs. James then returned his eyes to mine.

"I missed that..." He murmured.

I smiled at him knowing that I missed his lips too. But, that smile slipped off my face because I needed to know something.

"James, I know you told me not to worry but I need to know. What are we going to do?"

James's lips pressed into a firm line understanding what I meant.

"First off, this is not your problem it's mine so, don't say we. Second, tomorrow I'm pledging my loyalty to Planet Niribu tomorrow. It's required in becoming the leader of Niribu."

I nodded my head fixing James's ruffled shirt.

"Look at you, leader of Planet Niribu," I joked trying to get the tension out of the air.

James smirked at me as he leaned in and pecked my lips.

"I would love to spend more time with you babe but, you need to rest. Doctor's orders," he said.

I pouted like a sad puppy.

"Are you going to leave?" I asked not liking the idea of being by myself.

James shook his head.

"Of course not, I'll be either downstairs or in my room. Now sleep, beautiful."

With that, he kissed me on my cheek but I pulled his head towards my lips. Our lips collided and I savored it until he pulled away. James beamed at me with this glow in his sea blue eyes. I could tell he cared about me a lot. Then, he left with a wink and shut the door behind him. I curled up in my smooth blankets then closed my eyes. Eventually, sleep overtook me.
