My grandfather passed away about month ago. I attended his funeral but his will was to be read a month after his death. It was the way things were done in the family, that's how he wanted it. I hadn't attended the reading. I had asked my grandfather's lawyer to let me know if I needed to know anything. Anything to avoid seeing them.  I groaned as I remembered I hadn't read any of his emails. School had just been so busy.

"What does she have to do with the will?" I asked Sylvia. Ruby and her son were not related to my grandfather. My grandfather did not even like Ruby. She was a vile creature that disturbed the peace in our world and I did not like her.

"She doesn't. But Dave does," she said slowly.

"WHAT?" I almost burst into flames with anger. "What does he have to do with the will?" This was beginning to sound very preposterous.

"Your grandfather left you all the shares to his company. That is 60 percent. He left a quarter of his personal wealth to your father, half to you and the other quarter was to be shared equally between a charity's of your choice and David."

"Dave is getting half of a quarter of grandpa's money?" I asked confused.

"Yes. But as far as his personal wealth goes both you and David only get it once you have done what he asked you to do in a personal letter he left for you. His lawyer emailed it to you but apparently you haven't read it." Sylvia finished.

I was livid. Why would grandpa leave his step grandson anything at all? I did not understand at all. I was baffled, confused and mostly hurt. How could he do that?

I'll see you tomorrow," I dismissed Sylvia as I retreated into my room.

"Are you going to be okay?"

I nodded before I shut the door.

I thought I was just going to sleep but I couldn't. I wanted to read grandpas letter but I felt so betrayed I just wanted to forget the last forty minutes of my life and I knew how. Right now I couldn't throw a party but I could go to a club. I quickly changed into a pair of shorts, boots and a tank top. I picked up my car keys and headed out. Tonight, id behave like some of the students. I'd party the night away and forget.

Nicks POV

I eventually found the girl. Kate. Katy, she insisted i call her. She had explained she was just invited to the party herself and hadn't gone because her teeth hadn't eased up on her.

Right now we were at Hayley's. Basically a student's club. She was a nice girl. Talked way too much but she was nice enough. Her ass was nicer.

"I'm going to head out now," she said as she downed her drink and moved between my legs to kiss me bye.

"I thought you were going back home with me," I said trying not to sound too disappointed.

"Weekends only. You know how hectic first week of school is," she said as she moved away and picked up her purse.

"Goodbye," she smiled as she left.

It was only nine for Pete's sake! I looked around to see what we had in the club tonight. I liked Katy but not enough to be exclusive. She was what I did when there was no one else to do, just like every girl who I had ever been involved with.

I moved from the dark lit booths and moved to the clubs bar. I was feeling helpless. Where was Zack when you needed him? Probably tucking his little sisters in bed. That boy. He had it all. As I sat on a stool one of the bartenders quickly came to me. I ordered a scotch.

"Keep them coming," said a girl who was sitting to my right. She had about six shots of vodka in front of her and she was downing them like there was no tomorrow.

"It's rude to stare," she snapped at me. I hadn't realised I had been staring. She looked and sounded familiar. "Well?" she snapped again raising an eyebrow. "Do I pass the test?" she asked as she downed another shot.

"Not a chance," I laughed.
"Yerr right," she retorted rolling her eyes.

She kept looking at me with an expression that showed she was trying really hard to concentrate. She was very stunning to be honest. She had beautiful brown eyes, bushy eyebrows that had been tamed with a tweezer and long black hair. "It's a weave," she said pulling at her hair.

"You could have fooled me," I rolled my eyes at her.

"You are the guy from my new year's party," she stated. "I could never miss the rudeness." She smirked.

Suddenly I recognized her. "You are the rose gold beauty," I smirked back.

"Yerr well I decided that wasn't my colour," she said as she downed another shot. This girl had a high tolerance.

"You pulled it off though," I said as I drank my scotch.

"I know, but it's not my colour," she said looking at me curiously. She had high levels of cockiness too.

"You think I'm cocky," she said as she started giggling.

I faked a groan. "The giggles are back." That only made her giggle more.

I liked this girl. She reminded me of happiness, if that made sense. I guess we were both drunk.

"We should go home," she said pulling out a hundred dollar bill from her pocket. "That should cover it," she said to the bartender.

I raised an eyebrow at her. "That's very presumptuous of you.

She just rolled her eyes and waved at the bartender who smiled at her, happy at his extra generous tip.

I found myself standing up. Just put it on my tab I told the guy as I dialed for a cab.

"I have my car here," she said showing me her keys.

"You can't drive. Both of us can't." More giggles. I shook my head.

She hooked her hand around mine and we started for the exit. If perfect bodies existed, this girl was it. Small waist, perfectly rounded ass. The cab arrived before I had finished properly checking her out.

"Who's going to take care of your car?" I asked her.

"I'll send someone," she said as she took out her phone.

"Are you going to let your parents know you aren't going home tonight?"

All I got was a derisive snort.
