Well, we can try this...

Session five finished without any fanfare. Sky and I had managed to stay out of Apollo and Drake's grasp for longer than we'd expected. In the end, we had been defeated by Drake when we forgot to watch out for diving dragons from other groups. Either way, for our first class of flying it went pretty well. After dinner, another class was on.
Fighting Three was when the rider and dragon fought in the air together against someone else or practised manoeuvres that could be used. There were three sessions of the class each fortnight with only one occurring at night. The night classes allowed riders and dragons to learn how night could affect your fighting capabilities.
Shawn Tomson, Sky informed me, was the instructor of the class. The lesson started off with all of us on the ground in a group around Shawn. Shawn's dragon was a large yellow dragon, called Enigma.
"I'm sure you all know that this year four people between the ages of fourteen and seventeen would be participating in the Arle Mossk Tournament. The tournament occurs over four days, with three races on each day for three days, and then the last day will have a major race. The final competition. The first nine races will eliminate the last person based off a point system. At least two people will be entering the tournament from your class, instead of the usual one.
"To decide who's going, we're going to have our own miniature tournament. It'll start tomorrow and take place over this entire week and the next – excluding both weekends. There'll be seven events by the end of the two weeks, each a different type. You will be told when the event is happening and where. It is up to you to get there on time and, if you are too late, you are disqualified from that event."
When Shawn finished speaking, there was a low murmur as everyone started speaking. Shawn let everyone speak for a bit before calling attention. "Now I'm sure you're all excited, but you do still have class. Everyone get up in the air, I want to practise the standard rider-falling-dragon-catching procedure."

Shawn's class went a bit over time and, afterwards, my entire body was sore, but a good sore. I stretched out as I landed near the stables with Sky. Sky yawned, her body feeling half-asleep, but her mind was wide-awake. What do you think of the tournament?
I believe we should try to win, I replied knowing that Sky would think the same.
I agree, Sky murmured, but we would need to do a lot of practice on a number of different things.
What do you mean?
The events in the Arle Mossk Tournament itself are racing, two-on-two fighting with dragons as humans, and dragon-on-dragon. The racing can be a number of different things. It could be trying to go through a number of hoops and holes to gain points within a time limit. It could be retrieving an item. It could be racing others in a single flight. It could be an obstacle course as well.
Practise would be needed, I agreed, but when would we get the time to do so?
Early mornings, after classes end, lunchtimes, and any free sessions we get. Night times are a good time as well, as we need to be prepared for any time.
We would need to do this without actually tiring me out to the point where I fail at the events needed to enter Arle Mossk Tournament. How exactly do we plan to get better? I asked.
Practise, Sky said thoughtfully. Although, is there enough time to actually gain new skills and get better to the point where we have a chance at winning?
