Hey guys! Again sorry for the couple shorter chapters, they're just easier to write and quicker to get out. I think I might do shorter chapters like that from now on. If you guys don't want that I will just change back to writing longer chapters. So comment what you want.

Oh hey BTW I need more requests on my oneshot book. So if you want a oneshot please feel free to check it out. For now though since no one is requesting I'm just writing my own.

I tap my hand across the screen of my phone telling Sans that I was at Alphys because something was wrong with Frisk. He had stopped by the house while I was over here and he was wondering where I was at. Toriel had come to Alphys too after learning about what Frisk had done. She sat across from me now as we waited for the news on Frisk.

I look up at her to see her frowning at the ground. We hadn't talked since she walked in, I thought I might as well let her have some time to herself, But there's no harm in asking. "Did he tell you?" She looks up and nods. "Are you okay?" She gives me a small smile "Yeah, I just... Having a child give their live for my son... I don't know if I should feel grateful or upset." I shrug. "She wanted him to be alive more than herself I guess."Its silent again and I feel tension in the room.

"(Y/N)?...Are you okay?"

My instant reaction is to put up a wall around myself. I can't break down, I have to stay strong for Frisk right now. "Yeah, just a little scared that's all." She nods "I understand I am quite on edge myself." There's a knock at the door and I get up to escape the conversation. "I'll go get it." I walk over to the door and open it to reveal a winking Sans. "Hey babe, whats wrong with Frisk?" I can't help but smile a little at his presence. Instead of letting him in I walk outside and sit on the stairs infront of the door. Sans follows my lead and I lean my head on his shoulder

"Hi Sans..." I murmur as I bury my head into his jacket. The smell of ketchup something else that I can't quite place wafts up through my senses and it pushes all my problems back momentarily. "Are you gonna tell me whats going on?" I shake my head "Give me a moment." He sighs and wraps his arm around me as I snuggle closer to him. Moving his hand up, he gently plays with my hair and I sigh from the contact.

The moment is short to last how ever when I hear Alphys through the door calling me back inside. I stand up as reality rushes back to me. "Come on, I'll explain what's going on after the news from Alphys." I hold my hand out to help him up and he gratefully accepts. He doesn't let go when we head inside and down the elevator into her lab where Alphys and Toriel are waiting for us.

I glance at Frisk who is now asleep in the medical bed hooked up to tubes filled with different types of liquid and hooked up to machinery that tells us her heart beat. Her face is scrunched up and my gut squeezes. Shes either having a bad dream or shes in pain. I turn my gaze towards Alphys who is looking towards the ground. I suck in a deep breath. That's not a good sign.

She looks up with sad eyes. "First lets start from the beginning. She gave Flowey half of her soul turning him into Asriel from the power that the soul gave him." I feel Sans tense next to me and I can already hear his mind asking a lot of questions. "Since he is a monster he is not meant to use human souls as his soul. So his body started rejecting the soul." She takes a deep breath.

"Human souls are made out of emotions and DNA while monster souls are made out of magic. Frisk after eating all of the monster food that we have, which has magic embedded into it, has had her soul absorb a bit of magic so for a shortened time she could keep Asriel alive. Once the magic was used up though Asriel was starting to die again. I don't know if it was a guess or if Frisk knew what she was doing but giving Asriel a bit of her soul again did help him since it had more magic in it." She sighs and rubs her hands nervously. "When she gave him her soul, life energy was given as well. Asriel can not use this energy since he is made of magic but we can not take it out of him because he will die since you would be taking the whole soul out to do so. The life energy attaches to everything in the soul. That's why it only appears in humans because monsters use their magic outside of their bodies."

"Now we don't need to worry about Asriel, with the soul pieces that Frisk gave him I should be able to use the energy to make a magic core, which is like life energy for humans except its like a endless generator for magic. Frisk however needs life energy badly, I've made an extractor to take life energy from another human. Now the soul types have to match for it to work properly. I just need a bit so I can duplicate it and  give it to Frisk. I can't take any from Asriel because his body would have tried to manipulate it into his own soul, and I cant take any from Frisk since she is so low on it already. (Y/N) do you mind if I see your soul?"

I nod and she puts a hand out towards my chest and a (F/C) heart pops out. I touch my chest where the heart came from and look around. Everything's dimmer and a bit blurry around the edges besides my soul which glows like a beacon. Alphys pulls a a small scanner type machine and scans my soul. "Oh no..."

"What? Whats wrong?" I ask worried that there's something wrong with mine too.

"Your determination levels are low and that's the type we need for Frisk. Do you have any family member's that's close to here? We need life energy quick and usually family members have the same base emotion to their souls. I wonder why you don't?"

I swallow and try to think of anyone in my family besides her. Anybody but her I think as my mind scrambles. I sigh in frustration. I don't want to go there ever again! "Does it have to be relatives?"

She nods "We don't have the time to check out any of your friends unless if that's a last solution. Is it?"

I slowly shake my head.

No sadly there is one.

"My mom."
