Severide arrives at the District and Hank is waiting on him. "Come on up. We need to talk." Severide looks worried. Never a good thing to hear your future Father-In-Law tell you he needs to talk to you and you're in a police station. Severide follows Hank upstairs and sees Antonio sitting there. They shake hands and Antonio jesters to Severide to sit on the side of the desk, like he is.

They both look at Hank, "We have been investigating Shaylynn's car accident and we believe we have found out who caused it." "Who's the suspect?" Severide asks Hank. "Renee Royce." Severide is in shock! "You know I thought I saw her at Molly's during the baby shower" Severide tells Hank and Antonio. "It was her. That's why I left so soon. I was trying to catch up with her. We talked to every eyewitness that saw the accident. They all had the same story. A "beefed" up Hummer rammed into the car and then rammed the car into Shaylynn's SUV. We feel the other car was just there at the wrong time. If it hadn't been there, Shaylynn and the baby would be dead." "But, how does Renee fit into this?" Severide asks. Hank continues, "We had everyone looking for this beefed up Hummer. Finally the SOB came out of hiding and we got him! He knew we was going to be doing time for killing the other driver, but when he found out that the driver of the SUV was my daughter, he said Renee's going down with him." "So Renee tried to have Shaylynn killed? Why?" Severide asks looking sick. "This SOB must be her boyfriend cause he had a lot of details. She was pregnant when she left you? Is that right?" Hanks asks Severide "Yes, that's right! She finally came clean that the baby wasn't mine and from a one night stand. Then she left. I never heard from her again. What did this guy tell you?" Severide asks with a very concerned look on his face. "He basically said Renee is crazy! She told him the guy that got her pregnant found out she had a baby and that it was his. He took her to court and won custody. I guess that's when she went crazy, came back to Chicago, went looking for you and found you. He said she kept going on and on about you being with a pregnant lady going into baby shops. That it should have been her instead." Severide is sick to stomach to think Renee would do something like this! I can't believe someone from my past is trying to kill my future! "If Renee finds Shaylynn out by herself and try's something face to face, it's not going to end well for Renee. That's one of the reasons we're trying to locate her" Antonio tells Severide. Hank gives Antonio and Severide a look, "I say let her find Shaylynn!" Antonio just looks at Hank. "What? Renee tried to have my daughter killed! Put her face to face with Shaylynn. Renee thinks she's tough having someone do it for her, she won't be so tough once Shaylynn gets a hold of her!" "You can understand why you shouldn't say anything to Shaylynn about this, right?" Antonio says looking at Severide. "Shaylynn finds out someone, especially an old girlfriend of yours, is stalking her she will go back in "fighter" mode. And now since she has Leslie it's going to be 100% worse! Plus the organization Shaylynn works for follows "different" laws. And they don't take to kindly with one of their own being harassed. So for Renee's sake it would be best we find her first before they do" Antonio tells Severide. "Do you remember any of the places you and her went that maybe we can check out and see if she has been seen there recently?" asks Antonio. "There's Molly's. Other then today, I doubt she would show her face there cause Herrmann, Otis, or Dawson would tell me. Only other places were restaurants and her place" Severide says looking at Hank out of the corner of his eyes. "With her losing her job after all this happening, I doubt she would be going to the restaurants" says Antonio. Jay Halstead walks up the stairs and sees that Antonio, Hank, and Severide are talking, "Sorry! I didn't mean to walk in on your conversation." "It's not a problem, we're done." Hank tells Jay. "Oh hey, Severide. My brother has a baby shower gift for Leslie. An emergency came up and he couldn't leave the hospital. He didn't let me know he had one until I was already at Molly's. And there was no way I could make it to the hospital and then back to Molly's in time." Jay tells Severide. "No problem! Thanks for letting me know." Jay walks off to look for Mouse. "There you go, stop by the hospital and pick up the gift. That can be one of the errands you ran." Hank tells Severide. "When you, Shaylynn, and Leslie are out and about, just keep your eyes open for Renee. Shaylynn ALWAYS has a gun on her when she's out. You might not think she does, but she has one some where." Hank informs Severide. Severide gets up and shakes hands with Antonio and Hank. He thanks them for letting him know about Renee. Severide walks out, gets into his car, and let's all this info process. He heads toward the hospital and gets the baby gift from Dr.Halstead and starts heading for home. What Antonio and Hank don't realize is that Butch and his guys have also been doing their own investigation into Shaylynn's car accident and know all about Renee. They are bound and determine to get a hold of her first.
