"It was a hard decision for me... To leave Port Mafia along with you and join the Armed Detective Company... I wasn't content." A sigh escaped his lips as he ran his fingers through his dark brown hair. 
                          
"What do you mean you weren't happy? You were the boss, you controlled everything!" 
                          
Dazai lifted his head and looked deep into your eyes. "I couldn't control your heart. That was the only thing I couldn't do." He confessed. 
                          
(F/N) just stared right back at him, confused. "A-Are you saying it was my fault?" You started to raise your voice. 
                          
"No." Dazai looked back to the ground again. "I failed to make you fall in love with me." 
                          
"!" You felt your cheeks burning up, as your heart jumped. 
                          
"You were in love with Akutagawa, after all. And I was jealous of that."  
                          
Then, it hit you. You had a flashback way back when you just joined Port Mafia. You immediately took a liking of Akutagawa. And Dazai already had laid his eyes on you, ever since the time he interviewed you for the job. But he fell in love with you, only to see that you were in love with a subordinate of his. 
                          
"Of course, I didn't hold a grudge on Akutagawa. But I was heartbroken to see that you were happy with someone other than me." 
                          
"Did you go because of that?" You said it in a way almost like you were making fun of him. 
                          
"You could say I did. It was a coward move for me, but it just shows you how much I loved you and cared about you." Dazai looked up at you again as he held your hands.
                          
"I apologize sincerely from the bottom of my heart that I've betrayed you. I love you and again, I know it was a stupid decision to make but you captivated my heart ever since the first day I meet you. The way you smile and laugh and when we're training, your determination is so admirable. I was crazy about you."  
                          
Your eyes widened in surprise to see your ex-boss's tears slowly rolling down his cheeks. 
                          
"Dazai-" 
                          
He lunged towards you to a big bear hug and squeezed you tightly. He nuzzled into your neck, begging for you to forgive him. 
                          
"D-Dazai, let me go..." You tried to pry his arms off of you but he would only hug you tighter. 
                          
"No. I won't ever let you go." 
                          
Your face flushed as you pushed him off of you to look at him in the eyes. The cheerful and the happiness expression Dazai always had in his eyes were now shattered and broken into misery and pain. You were a hot mess now, hot tears were pouring out of your eyes. You blinked away the tears and grabbed his hands. You thought of all the memories you had with him, and even though some of them weren't the best and happy memories, it was still precious to you because-
                          
"You really are an imbecile, Dazai..." You chuckled weakly. "I know I broke a rule from Port Mafia about lying but I lied that I had a huge crush on Akutagawa." You faced him with a river flowing down your cheeks as your sniffed your red, puffy nose. "I was in love with you this whole time. I love you."
                          
Dazai's eyes widened in disbelief. To think that a lady who he-- for sure knew, had a crush on someone else, but lied about having a crush on them and instead, had a crush on Dazai all this time. He was speechless for awhile, like a cat got his tongue.
                          
"Well, that was my lie to you." You wiped the remaining tears off your eyes as you stood up. "I must be going now. It was a pleasure meeting you again and hopefully, we won't have to see each other again." You picked up the hat that was left on the floor and put it on as you left poor Dazai all alone. 
                          
"S-STOP!!" he croaked. "PLEASE, DON'T LEAVE ME!!" he scrambled up to his feet as he charged for you, and hugged you from behind. 
                          
"Dazai-" 
                          
"Why do you have to leave it like this?? Why can't we be together?" He turned you around, putting his hands on your shoulders. "Look, I've regret everything I've done to hurt you. I didn't know that you were in love with me, so please, forgive me." 
                          
"W-What do you want me to do?" You asked, your voice starting to quiver. 
                          
"You can join me, or refuse and stay with Port Mafia, or we can run away together." he said with determination in his eyes. You thought long and hard as you opened your mouth for your final answer. 
                          
"Dazai, __________________."
