Chapter 5

                                    

                                          
Lani. 
                          
I had packed a small suitcase and backpack. Throwing clothes in, I had pack Lucifer up earlier so the little guy wouldn't freak out. I looked around the small dirty apartment wondering how big the Toews's house is. 
                          
I heard a knock on my door. Deep breath again. I opened to Kane standing there. "Hey Lani, right?" He asked. Here was the biggest playboy helping me with my bags. I smiled an nodded. Luci was hissing and meowing. "Luci quiet!" He didn't shut up. "I'm sorry I have no one to take care of him," I explained. 
                          
He laughed, "Whats his name?" The question I hated. 
                          
"Lucifer." 
                          
"Really? It fits him." The blond black haired blue eyed cat hissed at Kane. I laughed. Well he made me laugh. 
                          
"Can we go?"
                          
"Oh ya sure let me grab that." He reached for the suitcase. I flung on my backpack picked up Luci and his bag and left. 
                          
In the car I was in the back with a panting grumpy cat, while Kaner and Jon were fighting about the game yesterday. It was fun. We drove for 10 straight hours with a few breaks so the boys wouldn't strangle each other.  We had stopped for dinner. We were about a day away from the border, In Minnesota. We had to stop for the night. I needed a hot shower. I threw my coats, backpack, suitcase, and set Luci down on the bed. Nice nice warm water ahhh. 
                          
Jon's POV
                          
We set up the same way we usually do when we travel. I get the shower as Kaner does whatever he does at the sink. Then we switch off. After our showers we layed on the bed, Lani crept into my mind I couldn't ignore the pull I had to her. Kaner broke the silence, "So... You and Lani...." 
                          
"No."
                          
"Then why bring her to your family?"
                          
"Money."
                          
"Wait, nooo. You actually did what we talked about."
                          
"$6,000 dollars of it."
                          
"Wow dude, anyway since you're not into her can I have her?"
                          
I didn't even know i moved 'til I slammed my best friend in the world as hard as I could against the wall, my arm on his neck. My karate I took as a kid, taking over. I was seeing red, for what? A stupid comment he made. I put pressure on my arm his hands flew up. "Jonny," He gasped, "I'm sorry man," I dropped him and slid down the wall, my head in my hands. Kaner rubbed his neck as he sat next down next to me. "Thats the second time we did that," He reminded me.
                          
He had done the same thing to me when I cheated on my exgirlfriend, I was drunk and not thinking straight I deserved a punch he gave me that night, but that night, those nights made us closer as friends and as brothers. "You like her don't you?" 
                          
I nodded uncertain, I knew I had feelings for Lani. I just didn't know if they were only physical or mental. I planned to find out tomorrow.
