Chapter 6

                                    

                                          

"Well now. Haven't they put on quite a show."
"Right they have Georgie. Well enjoy your time you two." Fred and George then left, leaving Charlie and myself alone.
"Sorry to be so forward, I just couldn't help it." Charlie apologized and grabbed my hand.
"It's alright." I could tell my face was bright red and I was nervous about what he might be thinking.
"Let's sit and talk for a bit, that okay?"
"Absolutely." We walked back to the grassy hill and sat down by an older looking tree.
"I have a question to ask you." I said and looked down at my feet.
"Yeah?"
"Why did you ask Fred and George to watch me? They told me it was for some unexplained reason." 
"Oh yeah. That. I wanted them to help make sure that you wouldn't be in any danger walking around after hours and being near the dark forest and I just wanted some information about your dragon side. I guess it was kinda creepy of me to do something like that."
"Why would you go to so much trouble when you could have just asked me about it?"
"I didn't want to trouble you with it. And you probably get asked a bunch of weird questions." He took a pause and turned to look me in the eyes. "I also wanted more chances to see you."
How can he be so open about something like that?
"Oh man. I don't know what to say to that." I said and looked around in a fluster.
"You don't have to say anything. Just sit here with me. That would make me happy."
"Alright."
                          
The second task ended but shortly before the people exited the arena Charlie and I said our goodbyes. Him leaving me with one final kiss in the cheek.
While I waited for Ginny to leave the arena I held my cheek and gazed off into space.
                          
"That's a rather peaceful look you've got on your face."
"Indeed it is. Wonder what happened to do that."
When I snapped back to my senses I saw Fred and George smirking at me.
"Thanks guys. Loving the suspicious looks here." I said sarcastically.
"Just trying to wake you up." Fred said.
"Oh and if you're waiting for Ginny. She just left." George said and pointed up the hill. 
"Damn you're right. Bye guys." I waved goodbye and ran up the hill to catch up with Ginny.
                          
"Hey Ginny." I said when I finally caught up with her.
"Oh hello." She sounded a little distracted.
"Is everything okay?"
"Oh yeah. It's cool."
"Still worried about what happened to Harry in that challenge?"
"N-no. Wait, how did you know what happened to him. You were off snogging my brother."
"For the record I was not snogging your brother. And how did you even find out I was with him?"
"Twin tall birdies told me." She said and winked. 
"Damn those twins." I growled and clenched my fist.
"
                          
How was your time with Charlie?" She pries.
"Is it really any of your business?"
"Of course. He'd better be treating you right." She said sternly.
"You say that like my mother or that he'll do something awful."
"Where do you think the twins got their personalities from?" She says and it clicks.
"Oh shit."
"Mhmm."
"Oh shut up, mom." I say and trudge up the hill.
                          
I immediately go up to the girls dorm and there is already a letter sitting on my bed.
Damn, this guy moves fast.
I peeled opened the red wax and slid out a small letter.
                          
'Hey, spring break will be here before you know it and I was wondering if you would want to come visit me in Romania for a little while. I forgot to ask earlier. Send a reply when you can.
Love Charlie.'
                          
I put the letter on my nightstand and grabbed a quill from in between my text books.
What was with the 'love Charlie' at the end. He is way too forward about his feelings. Oh well, it's kinda cute.
                          
I write back with an 'of course' and go up to the owlery to send it away.
