"Good Morning sunshine." Tate smirked as he looked up from his bowl of cereal.

"Morning." I said rubbing my eyes.

I glanced around the kitchen and saw Lexi looking up at me.

"Hey Lexi." I smiled.

She just frowned at me took her plate to the sink and left without saying another word. I waited until she was gone before speaking as I took a seat beside him.

"Why does she hate me?"

"She's been on one all week. It's not you I promise." Tate said looking back to his magazine.

"Where's May and Hasley?"

"Doctors appointment." He replied.

"How come I never see Chad around?" I asked as I grabbed a banana from the basket.

"He practically lives at the office."

"Office?"

Tate looked up at me and shook his head.

"Come er' I'll show you." He said getting up and I followed behind him as he walked out onto the porch.

"See that over there." He said pointing off into the distance.

Past some fields was a lot of other small buildings.

"Those are the house the other workers live in, and over there."

He moved his hand over and there was a building off to the side.

"That's the office. It's where all the business with the farm takes place so it's not all done here at the house. Like if there's a problem the workers go to the office not here."

"Why aren't you kicked out there?"

He shrugged.

"Guess they like me more." He smirked walking back in.

I followed and in the kitchen was Cody, Jane and Rowdy.

"Hey so are you about ready to go to the lake?" Jane asked pouring herself a glass of orange juice.

"Tate aren't you coming?" I asked.

He shook his head.

"I'm on babysitting duty until 10:00."

"I'll wait with you then." I said sitting down with him.

"Em it's okay you can go."

"I wanna come up with you." I turned to Jane. "I'll come up later you and Cody go ahead."

"I'll stay with you guys I should probably put that part in the truck anyway." Cody said.

Tate just nodded.

"Alright well then I'm leaving." Jane said chugging down her juice and winking at me before grabbing a set of keys and heading out the door.

"Cereal is in the pantry." Tate replied as he got up and opened a door that uncovered food. He grabbed a boxes of Cheerios and poured himself another bowl.

"Are you not capable of making something like May?" I laughed.

He shook his head, his mouth full of cereal.

"Somethings never change." I mumbled opening the fridge.

"I want pancakes!" Rowdy cried.

Cody handed him a coloring page apparently he liked to color a lot.

"I'll get you some cereal." Cody said turning to walk into the kitchen.
