"That's a Weird Name"

It was a rainy Monday morning. People dreaded the week to begin. Hiccup, a short little green eyed auburn haired 5 year old, was excited for the new day. He got up from his comfortable bed and got ready the school day. 
                          
When he was done, his personal driver, Gobber, drove him to school. Hiccup arrived and went straight to his classroom. He didn't have many friends so he sat alone. Pretty soon, a few other of Hiccup's classmates entered the classroom and they all sat down in their seats. 
                          
"Good morning class," the teacher came in and greeted everyone. The class responded with the same sentence. "Today, we have a new student coming in." 
                          
After she said that, a girl walked in. She had long golden blonde hair that was put into a braid. Her sapphire blue eyes sparkled. She had on a skirt and a plaid shirt that was tucked into her skirt and black small converse covered her small feet. She was the prettiest girl Hiccup has ever seen, other than his mother of course, whom he haven't seen since last year. 
                          
The girl looked nervous. She kept her head down low and stood next to the teacher. 
                          
"This is Astrid," the teacher began. "She's the new student. Everyone welcome her with open arms."
                          
Kids greeted Astrid. She was still standing next to the teacher silently waving to the others. Hiccup was nervous also. But why? He only seen the girl, not talked to her. He shouldn't be so nervous. 
                          
His thoughts got interrupted when he heard his name. His head snapped up and saw Astrid walking towards his table. He gave a small smile to her and she returned it and sat down across from him. 
                          
"I'm Astrid," she spoke in a cute squeaky voice. 
                          
"I'm Hiccup." He responded in an equally squeaky voice. 
                          
"Hiccup? That's a weird name." Astrid chuckled. 
                          
Hiccup was blushing. Lots of people make fun of his name, even his slightly older cousin, Snotlout, who's also in the same class as him. Hiccup thought that Astrid was going to be another one of his bullies, so he put his head down in shame. 
                          
"Are you okay?" Astrid asked after Hiccup's action. When he didn't answer, she realized what she said and why he acted the way he did. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be mean! It's just, you don't meet people who's name is creative like yours everyday." 
                          
Hiccup looked up at Astrid to see her with a nervous smile. "It's okay. You're name is cool too."
                          
The teacher caught the two talking and told them to quiet down. They smiled at each other and knew they would be friends, maybe best friends. 
                          
The future is unpredictable.
