Oliver straightened his suit as he neared the hallway. There was a slight frown on his forehead. The reason was Elli. He had been noticing her changing moods since a while now, probably since a month or two. One moment, she would be staring at him and then the next she would glare when he even talked about someone else. She would tease him to no end and then when he would try to do the same and in the process walked closer to her, it would be like he were stepping inside an invisible protective circle of hers, because she would suddenly go quiet and refuse to look at him anymore. And needless to say, the ways Elli were ruining his dates, and his charm over the female population.

He was highly suspicious that his witch was suffering from bipolar disorder or something like that.

However, Oliver carefully avoided registering the facts that - when Elli stared at her, it was difficult for him to look away. Like he was hypnotized. When she would not look at him as he stepped inside that supposed protective circle of hers, he found his breathing get heavy and warm. The acidity on the other hand had become a permanent issue inside his chest. For that, he was considering seeing a doctor. Even Lily - the nurse, suggested him the same when he talked to her over the phone about the bug he has possibly gotten.

As he was about to walk inside the hall through the double doors, seeing two ladies give him the looks... he smiled charmingly but then found himself trip over something. After balancing himself, he looked down to see a loose wire that he had stepped into. He kicked his leg, but in stead of getting his leg out of the wire, it made the rest of the wire that was actually fairy lights hanging up the wall come down and fall upon him unceremoniously. Within a moment, the wrecked fairy lights were tangled up around him.

"What the f***!" Cursing under his breath, Oliver tried hard unraveling himself from the long wire with no success.

That was how he tumbled over the threshold. Then when he stood up straight after being stumbling inside the party so ridiculously, which went completely against his plan to make a grand entry of some sort, his eyes completed it's scanning of the surrounding. He tried locating Elli, his favorite entertainment channel. He needed to find her to tell her off about these damn fairy light wires that he was at the same time trying to unwrap from around his body.

Making sure that the decoration was alright was his responsibility alright, but he clearly remembered when he was watching over the workers hanging the fairy lights and other many lights everywhere, Elli had bumped into him like a blind bat. And to his much annoyance, he zoned out for a little while which turned out to be quite a long while in reality. He was no fool to not identify the reason of his zoning out. Head injuries did terrible things that he was already aware of, again thanks to nurse Lily for teaching him all about medical science over the phone when he freaked out and called her.

Oliver was sure, the workers blundered with the light wires sometime right in between those few minutes when he was in that zoned out condition, courtesy to the blind bat.
