Chapter ten

                                    

                                          
When me and my dad got back into the living room everybody was in there talking and laughing. I took out my camera and started taking pictures. I live for moments like this. 
                          
Mary came in and told us it was time to eat, everybody got lined up to fix their plates and we all got seated at the table, hours passed on and it was nothing but laughs and cheers.. Seeing everybody so happy made me miss Andrew and my mom and how thanksgiving use to be. Don't get me wrong this was a moment to live for but I couldn't help feeling like apart of me was still missing. 
my little cousins glanced at the gift table and then became anxious to see what they got and started acting like little kids in Christmas so we decided to open up gifts. I got a Rolex from my dad, an engraved bracelet from fossil from Mary, bath and body works and a ULTA gift card from Arabella, Uggs from  Kaprial and a couple of other things from the rest of my family.. Since we were so split up and Mary's family only came down here for thanksgiving it was like a second Christmas. my dad came over and handed me another gift but this one was from my mother. I opened it and it was a note "see you during Christmas break honey, I love you. see you soon - mom" I was confused until a little folded piece of paper fell out the envelope, it was a plane ticket to Florida.. I grew overly happy and started screaming and jumping up and down.  I ran upstairs to call my mom. Hey mommie, thank you so much I can't wait to see you I said as soon as she answered the phone, she laughed.. of course honey.. I miss you, hows your day going? I can't wait to see you either. "It's going great" I said lying.. I really wanted to tell her my relationship was in the dumps and I've been contemplating running away to go see her but I wanted to keep the conversation positive plus her gift really made my day a little better. " okay ca Im gonna let you get back to dinner, tell everyone I said happy holidays I love you" okay mom, I love you to see you soon I said hanging up. I laid in my bed for a while just thinking and then I decided to take a walk, I took the back door and then ended up sitting by the pool. I slipped my shoes off, pulled up my dress and stuck my foot in. 
                          
I was deep into thought when I heard the gate door open, I turned around and it was Kaprial... "its pretty cold out, what you doing out here?" She said walking up and sitting beside me.

I went upstairs to tell cadence Carey was looking for her and she was no where to be found after checking all of down stairs I went out back and seen her sitting down at the pool. she looked sad, like she was in her feelings. she looked really off during dinner so I know something was weighing on her heavy. "It's pretty cold out tonight, what you doing out here?" I said sitting next to her, she stayed quite. "Oh and your TT is looking for you".  Tell her I'll be in, in a sec she replied her voice cracking. "What's wrong?" I asked worried about my friend, it wasn't like her to be stuck in her feelings like this.. "I'm fine" I looked at her and rolled my eyes "you can't fool me, and I'm a girl remember? I know what I'm fine really means now tell me what's going on. she sighed finally giving in "I'm just tired, I don't know what to do anymore. me and Andrew make a year soon and I don't even know if I'm happy. He's always to busy for me, what if he's cheating on me amber? And my mom I miss her, like really miss her I know I'll be seeing her soon but it's just not fair" she finished, tears rolling down her face.. "It's okay to miss how things once were but you gotta remember things change, it will get better soon. Andrew Is a new father he probably just doesn't know how to balance things right now and I doubt he'll ever cheat on you. you gotta stop over thinking cadence, it's not good. after a few minutes in silence she dried up her tears and hugged me, thank you I really needed that she said getting up and grabbing my hand to help me up.. anytime I said hugging her back, now let's go fix your makeup. She looked into her phone screen and busted out laughing. While cadence was fixing up her make up I decided to text Andrew and tell him he needed to fix things ASAP!!
