-Merci Venus-
I was tired. But I couldn't lose Steel from my sight. I know him. I know he'll try to work himself too hard. On our free period, I followed him to the gym. He insisted that he was fine but I could tell he needed rest. It got me really upset that he wouldn't go to sleep. I held his hand. We walked together to the gym. Steel went to get a wooden sword from the bucket in the gym while taking off the sweater.
"What are you doing?" I asked softly.
"Training." He replied looking at the surface of his sword.
"La formation?" I asked not realizing I spoke French. "Avec une telle énergie peu?"
"Yes, with such little energy." Steel said softly.
I wrapped my arms around him from behind and buried my face in his back. "Steel..." I managed through a whimper.
He turned around and looked at me gently. He held my cheek, wiping the tears that were building up in my eyes. "I'm sorry, Merci. I just don't want to leave you at risk of anything again... I failed once. I can't risk it again."
In a gentle voice, I whispered, "you didn't fail..."
He leaned and our lips gently touched, sharing a warm loving feeling. We held each other in a long embrace. Our kiss was interrupted when we heard a familiar voice. Steel picked me up abruptly and carried me bridal style. He took me to the second floor of the gym. We hid on the floor and looked over the railing. There we saw at least 7 people. I couldn't see too well but I recognized a voice.
"I'm glad you all came. Do you have the supplies we need?" President Lucinda asked the students around her.
"Yes," a girl with black hair confirmed.
"Good." Lucinda nodded. I could kinda see her put her hands to her hips. "We need to be careful. Nobody can nobody about this."
"We know. That's why we're here. Nobody comes to the gym at this time." A boy with blonde hair, blue eyes (if I'm not finally going blind from visiting Marlo's room) and pale skin spoke.
"We need to make this look as innocent as possible. I don't want someone to investigate this later." Lucinda made clear with her smooth voice. Then she smiled, and said, "I don't want his kind to spread. Especially if it's as dangerous as him."
My eyes widened and I looked at Steel. Steel had his eyes focused on them. I turned my attention back.
"You all clear with what you have to do?" Lucinda asked.
"Yes, ma'am." All seven people said.
"Wait." The black haired girl paused. "We have un welcomed guest."
"What?!" Lucinda growled. "Where?!"
"Second floor."
I felt the color drain out of me. Steel grabbed my hand and helped me up. We ran out listening to Lucinda yell at them to chase us.
We heard footsteps run after us. I held onto my jacket and Steel's hand as we raced. I didn't dare look back. They were fast. I could tell they were catching up. We jumped out one of the windows and fell outside and onto the school grounds. We barely caught our balance. We ran to the dorm tower and my hair flew in the windy sky. I felt time slow down. Gray clouds filled the skies as the leaves from the trees. I heard arrows launched. I could tell they were pretty good with a bow and arrow because it always landed a foot before I got there. Steel and I soon reached the door and ran in and I slammed it shut, panting heavily trying to recover my breath.
I soon relaxed and laughed. "We made it.." I looked up and my smile faded. To my horror, there was an arrow in Steel's chest. He fell to the ground and I screamed.
