H A R R Y 🔫

My heart was lodged up in my throat as I sprinted through the hallways of the warehouse. It was a madhouse in here. Bodies were dropping dead quickly, most of them were from Black Arrow, a few were from The Organization. I couldn't bring myself to help anyone at the moment, solely focused on getting to Scarlett. Scarlett. What the fuck was I thinking? Saying those things that made it seem like I doubted her love for me? I had just lost it at that moment, desperately using the airline tickets as my last resort to get her to snap. I wasn't sure if she did, but I couldn't care less right now. I needed to find her.

Gunshots were reverberating throughout the entire warehouse. There weren't many people who had ambushed us, just about ten or fifteen. That may have seemed a lot, but really it wasn't, compared to the amount of trained assassins we had here. It was stupid to even consider ambushing The Organization. I was supposed to be with Valkyrie, with Max and Vlad protecting God's Eye. But I seriously couldn't care less. Scarlett was the only thing on my mind right now.

A shriek echoed throughout the hallway I was currently running through, the familiarity of it causing me to lose focus. As I was nearing the source of the scream, I noticed a large burly man with his fingers on one hand, wrapped around a woman's neck, while the other one was sneaking down the front of her pants. The pale blue eyes of the woman met mine all of a sudden, the familiarity striking me once again. It was Vicky.

"Har-!" she screeched but was cut off when the man squeezed her throat again. I hid around the corner, making sure the man didn't see me when he snapped his head to the right.

The old me wouldn't have given a shit and left for Scarlett because she was more important. But the new me just couldn't leave Vicky like this. That would have been utterly wrong.

My hand dug into my pocket, finding my switchblade immediately. Silently and sneakily, I quickly crept up behind the man before pouncing on him and grabbing a fistful of his dark hair. He let out a surprised grunt, his arms flailing around, finally letting go of Vicky. Without a second thought, I brought the knife around his neck and dragged the blade across the skin of his throat swiftly. Blood spurted out of the laceration and onto an overwhelmed Vicky. Pulling back my knife, the man gurgled as he clutched his throat before collapsing to the floor with a thud.

My eyes darted up to meet Vicky's, noticing how uncharacteristically scared she looked. But there was another emotion lingering within her features. Gratefulness.

"Thank you," she breathed, her pale eyes wide. I simply nodded in acknowledgement before trying to sprint off but she spoke up again. "Where are you going?" she asked, before realizing that her question may have sounded stupid.

"I need to find Scarlett," I grunted impatiently.

"Oh," she blinked. "I'll help," she suggested, catching me off guard.

"Really?"

"Yeah of course. I'm not as nasty as you think I am," she rolled her eyes. "Are you heading to the apartments?" she questioned, and I nodded in answer. "Okay I'll check the mess hall and other places," she told me, running off in the direction I had just come in.
