"Have you ever felt like someone's one look holds the power to melt you? Someone's mere touch sending shivers down your spine? One walk with that certain someone, moments in the rain..., regular activities in the nature taking on a different, deeper, intense meaning, have you ever felt it? Like your whole world has come to a standstill and in one unexpected moment something has changed?..."

Damn, damn...damn! Elli was seconds away from biting her nails off in tension. Where was this cartoon man going on with all this.

One look. She had experienced uncountable of them from a stupid someone in the past months melting her soul into a puddle.

Mere touch. Touches had more than one occassion turned into electrifying sensations.

And it wasn't rain but one late night snowfall. Once upon a snowfall, she had indeed felt something change, a shift in her heart. The reason that pushed their shared moment to get a deeper, different, intense meaning had raised from the untouched depth of her heart.

Her whole world nowadays chose the weirdest and worst of times to come to a standstill when she was around Oliver. Thus, her clumsiness had reached up to a whole new level as well.

"Do you feel those unexplainable feelings of hurt, pain and sickness when that one person ignores you, when they're with someone else? And you feel insecure. Because the heart doesn't know how to share, and it feels jealous."

Elli's face literally paled. It was like the man was a psychic or something, was he?

The camera zoomed in on the unnamed man's face making his face bigger on the screen, his eyes widneded and sparkling, those tiny pimples could be seen despite obviously using some make up to cover them up. "You know deep down what is happening to you. But you choose to ignore the obvious, and embrace the confusion."

Elli gulped.

"Do you know what this cofusion, this sweet sickness, this cheesy condition you're going through is called?" The camera focused on the man from a different angle, now seeming more dangerous to Elli's eyes spoke out in a louder tone suddenly, with a dramatic tinge at the end. "It is..."

Elli's jaw dropped opened in anticipation, a sudden fear gripped her emtire being.

"... called love."

No no no! Not that. Oliver? Love? Him?

"You've defnitely fallen in love!" The man stretched his lips into a victorious smile.

Fallen in love with none other than stupid, foolish, arrogant manchild? Never! Elli jumped to her feet, the cushions around her stumbled down from the sofa.

The man on the screen smirked making Elli here swallow and wonder if there was webcam fit here somewhere through which he was keeping a eye on her reactions. "And don't deny it. The next step is - confession." Music rolled, drum beats and a romantic tune of violin began in the background. "It's time for Cupid Cross to say bye to you all...."

The rest of everything that this Cupid Cross was saying drowned out for Elli's ears were making a vivacious buzzing noise. Without wasting a moment, she ran towards the guestroom she was given for her stay here, and she didn't notice that Sarah and Sammy had ran towards their own room as well.

Slamming the door shut behind her, in the confines of her room Elli screamed out in a horror stricken, shock laden tone. Just like a girl would after locating a flying cockroach. Two other screams of children's voice also sounded at the same time, from another part of the palatial house.

It was true, Cupid's arrows were quite unpredictable and hit in the most unexpected of times.
