"So. Catherine walks up to open the door, but it comes flying open and her dad's face is right there, staring straight into her eyes. And he doesn't look very happy..." Concludes Kate.
Zoe gasps: "How terrible! Her parents must've been terribly cross with her when she came back. Were her parents terribly cross with her when she came back, grandma?"
"Of course they were, dear. Wouldn't you be if your daughter just ran away like that?"
Zoe reflects on the thought a moment before choosing her words. "Well...I suppose so. It wasn't very nice, was it?"
"No, it wasn't. But Catherine's parents were also happy she was back, you know, relieved. They knew now that Catherine was safe and sound."
"Why do we have to listen to this? It's all cute and everything, but what's the point? Why doesn't her dad just let her go already? It's no big deal, and his daughter wouldn't rebel against him." Tyler mumbles, taking everyone by surprise.
"I'm sure Catherine wished her father thought that way, Tyler." Kate winked. "I'll be right back." The old lady leaves the room for two minutes, and comes back.
"Continue the story, grandma!" Zoe shouts, making her big brother cringe at the loud, high-pitched sound.
"Where was I?"
"She had just come back with the policeman!"
"Right..."

Hey guys!
Thought I would warn you...I will be doing a couple of present-time chapters like this one throughout the story. These will be short, and Catherine's story will go on where I left it off the following chapter. Also, Kate obviously doesn't recount the events with all the detail and description to her grandkids, so whenever there is a part where Kate is the one telling the story it will be simplified and not quite as descriptive.
Hope you enjoy!Until next time,
