I was walking over to my best friends locker,  Lily. 
                          
About three months ago see broke up with this boy Hunter.
                          
I had liked him forever, but I never told her that which I should've because now I'm basically stuck not dating him because what kind of sloppy friend dates her best friends ex?
                          
We both like each other. One time he even asked me out, but I said I couldn't because of Lily.
                          
Though, she has already started seeing someone new.
                          
"Hey Lily"
                          
"Oh hey y/n" she says cheerfully.
                          
"Wow you seem happy today."
                          
She smiles again, "Yeah, it's Mason. He makes me feel so much better than Hunter ever did. I don't think Hunter and I even have anything in common You know?"
                          
My voice becomes high, "whaaaat"
                          
"Yeah I feel you and Hunter have way more in common than I ever did. You know you should ask out Hunter! You guys are like perfect for each other!"
                          
"Noo, no what? That's, that's crazy.." I say my voice still high. I change it back to normal, "Actually Lily, you know I do really like Hunter. I do. But I can't ask him out? That's so rude to do to a bestfriend."
                          
She puts her hand on my shoulder, "I want you to be happy y/n. Now, go get your man."
                          
I smile and see Hunter standing in the hallway down the hall from my locker.
                          
I rush over to him, "Hunter!"
                          
He smiles at me, "Hey y/n"
                          
"Hunter will you go out with me?"
                          
He smiles confused, "Wait really? But I thought you said we couldn't be together because of Lily?"
                          
"I did, but she said it was ok. So Hunter, will you go out with me?" I say smiling.
                          
He smiles, "yes, yes ofcourse."
                          
I hug him tightly.
                          
He pulls apart, "but if anyone asks. I asked you out." He says laughing.
                          
I laugh too and hug him again.
                          
Just then my other two friends, who know about our struggle, came walking by.
                          
"No no! This can't happen!" Jamie says running in.
                          
Kelsey pulls us apart, "Stop this!"
                          
"No Kelsey, Lily said it was ok."
                          
Jamie's eyes go wide, "Oh. Kelsey get out of the way of love!"
                          
Kelsey steps out and I hug Hunter again.
