Chapter 1

                                    

                                          
The scarlet train slowly moved out of the station. Rose, Hugo, James, Albus and Lily hang out of the windows waving their final goodbyes to their families. When the train disappeared into the countryside well away from the slowly fading station the five children sat back and got settled. 
                          
"I cant believe we are starting our fifth year already!" Albus exclaimed talking to his cousin, Rose. 
                          
"I know!" she replied "It seemed like only yesterday that we started our first year! When Lily and Hugo were moaning on the station that it was still two years before they could start!"
                          
"That was so funny! Lily's face! All scrunched up like that" James joked. Lily scowled at her older brother, who was most known in the family for joking around and teasing  his little sister and brother. 
                          
"Shut up! Still want Mummy and Daddy to send you a letter everyday Jamesie?" Lily replied, knowing how to get her brother back after 13 years of being teased by him "Is ickle Jamesie still worried about leaving his Mummy and Daddy behind? Hmmm?" James hit Lily's arm when she said that
                          
"Lil, you have used that on me too many times, it doesn't do anything to me any more!" he shouted, trying to hide his emotions, because that remark really did upset him, every time. And Lily knew it. 
                          
"You cant even say that James! You know it upsets you! You are terrible at hiding it!" Lily laughed. Rose joined in with laughing at her cousin. she knew that there were only limited ways to get him back, and to enjoy it when it happens. Soon, the whole compartment was laughing, apart from James. 
                          
"You guys are so mean!" James complained.
                          
"James! You are  16! We're only messing with you! I thought you would know how to do that by now!" Rose laughed "you have had 5 years at Hogwarts and you are the one always messing around! How can you get so upset about something like that!"
                          
"You know I'm just playing along right? I wouldn't get upset about something like that! I am the King of teasing people!" James tried to laugh.
                          
"Yeah right! You were so upset about that! Should we write a letter to Mummy and Daddy? Will they help ickle Jamesie? Will that make ickle Jamesie happy?" Lily laughed.
                          
Before anyone had a chance to say anything back, Hugo, who hated getting involved with the family arguments and never involved himself in anything James did or said "Just shut up already! This happens every time! There is no point in even doing this any more! It always ends the same way! Look, the sweet cart is here." 
                          
"Oh Hu, why do you never get involved with this stuff? It's fun!" Lily asked.
                          
"Because I don't like my family fighting! I want my family to have fun together and enjoy being in each others company! If we are all fighting it wont be like that! It will be horrible because we wont like each other and it will become horribly awkward and we wont be talking and I wont look forward to seeing you guys because I love hanging round with you Lil, your my best friend as well as my cousin! And I don't want to fall out with you!" Hugo explained. 
                          
"Oh Hu! It's just a bit of fun! Come on! I am always fighting with Jamesie over there, but you know it is never awkward between us! You know we will always be best friends! I am sure we will never fight but that doesn't mean that you don't have to join in when we finally get a way to get back at Jamesie! I know you hate all the pranks he pulls on you! This can be away to get him back! Embarrass him! If he gets embarrassed then he may think again before he pranks again! Lighten up Hugo!" Lily replied.
                          
"Oh Lil, you really think embarrassing me here will stop me pulling pranks? You are my family! I have gone through much worse with you! I'm not going to stop because my little sister embarrassed me in front of my family, dear dear Lil, that is just not gonna happen!" James laughed.
                          
"Oh, I know that Jamesie! But you will stop if you get embarrassed in front of you friends, the people you have gained popularity from? Will you seriously be doing it then? I think not Jamesie, now its your turn to think about what you just said, not me, Jamesie"Lily laughed back.
                          
5 hours later the scarlet train arrived at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The five children jumped off the train and headed towards the carriages. They all got into the carriage they have been for the last 2 years, since Lily and Hugo have been getting on them two. 3 other children got on the carriage with them: Aofie Finnigan, Justin Thomas and Craig Jordan. This was the normal routine for them.
