Prologue
Iki Hiyori, the name of the girl I'll be gladly to experience pain for, to sacrifice everything for. She was the light that pulled me out of darkness, the one who called my named, the woman who saved me from the haunting past I'd been escaping from. She changed my eyes from being empty into something more lively. She's just Iki Hiyori and yet she gave my whole life a meaning. She made me happy in countless times, made my very first shrine, encouraged me in every way.
She promised to fulfill my wish.
"If someone forgot about me, my whole existence will vanish from the world."
That's just it. I wish for no one to forget about me, no one. I want to remain in someone's memory and she did just that.
"I decided not to forget you, Yato. I will never ever let our memories be forgotten no matter what. Remember that."
Those were the words she, you, Hiyori said to me.
I remember each and every detail that day. Your pair of violet eyes was sparkling with determination and I couldn't react but look and just admire those tantalizing eyes. Happiness swelled deep inside me as I witness your whole being promising me the words I had been wanting to hear from someone. With those being said, you brought relief to me.
Simple wish, simple desire but I never knew it could bring catastrophe in our lives. I don't know how and why everything happened but in a sudden way, I just saw everything around me revolving in a different way.
No one knew me.
No one remembered me.
Even you.
