Alia P.O.V.

We were doing yet another interview for Kapoor and Sons. I was only half paying attention due to extreme sleepiness. I was looking at my water cup, not entirely focused when Fawad nudged me. I looked up, confused.

'Question for you.' He told me. So I turned to look at the interviewer.

'So, Alia, my final question to you, the question everyone is asking: are you seeing someone?' I had been expecting this question so I already had an answer ready. Before I could answer though, Sid answered.

'Yeah, she is.' He said. I know exactly how people are going to take that.

'No, I'm not.' I am seeing someone, but that is between me and him. Our personal lives are not going to be on display for the entire world. And how did Sid know? I hadn't told him. Unless he'd found out from the only other person that knows, a.k.a my boyfriend.

'You are, don't lie.'

'I'm not lying. If I'm really with someone then tell me who.' I knew he wouldn't be able to.

'She's seeing a boy called Aksar.' He stated confidently. I burst out into laughter.

'Sid, isn't that Varun's joke? From like two years ago?' Fawad asked.

'It wasn't a joke. He was right. She constantly gets phone calls from him. And texts. If you ever see her phone, she'll have these alerts that are all message from Aksar. Or missed call from Aksar.' I was still laughing. I had changed Varun's contact name in my phone to Aksar. We didn't want people to find out and Aksar was the first name I thought of to put.

'Sid, I am definitely not seeing Aksar.' I told him, finally calming down.

'But you're always talking to him.'

'Toh? I can't talk to a friend without being in a relationship with him?' It was really difficult to keep a straight face.

'You can. But not that much.' Fawad decided to come to my defense then.

'Of course you can. You can talk to a friend for 20 hours out of the day. That's what friends are there for.' Fawad told Sid.

'You're both going to gang up on me until I give in aren't you?' Sid asked. We nodded. 'Fine. I'll drop it. But I still say you're seeing someone.' I rolled my eyes.

'Okay. That was an interesting end to our interview. That's all we've got time for. So, good luck for the film.'

'Thank you.' The three of us said. The cameras stopped rolling and we all got up from our chairs. I stretched a little, getting feeling back in my legs which had gone numb from sitting for so long. It was our last interview for the day, so the three of us made our way out of the building.

'So, if you aren't seeing Aksar, who are you seeing?' Sid asked as we walked.

'I'm not seeing anyone. I don't have time for a relationship right now.' I didn't want to deny the fact that I'm with Varun, but when people find out it makes everything so much more complicated.

'There is no way you aren't seeing somebody.' Sid argued as we walked through the doors.

'What's that supposed to mean?' I asked.

'Uh, guys, I hate to break up this argument...' Fawad cut in before Sid could answer, 'but isn't that Varun over there?' He pointed to someone stood by the car. I turned to look, probably a little too eager, and saw he was right. Varun was stood there, hands in his pockets, little half smile on his face.
