'Cold sweat ran down his body as he ran down the empty hall of the hospital, he had to find her, he had to know she was okay. He kept running, no doctors or nurses appeared and when they did. No one stopped him from running.
He leaned against the wall trying to catch his breath, he had been running for what seemed like hours, it felt as if he was running in circles.
He continued to run, his bangs falling into his eyes every time he tried to move them out of the way. He had to find her, even if it exhausted him.
He finally stopped at a closed door that lead to the operating room, his heart pounded hard against his chest as he pushed open the door.
"Drake." He turned sharp at the sound of his name to a female figure smiling.'

A fourteen year old, sat up fast in his bed, heart beating hard against his chest as sweat rolled down his body. His green eyes full of confusion, he ran a hand through his sweaty medium brown hair now, he looked around in his empty room before removing himself from the bed and headed to one of the bathrooms for a shower.

"I had the same dream again." Drake murmured sitting at the table with three of his brothers, Luke, Duncan and Kelton. Spike stood at the stove with an plain brown apron on as he flipped a pancake.
"Did you?" He questioned.
Kelton flipped the page in his play boy magazine. "It's probably from those damn video games you're always playing." He said.
Duncan rolled his eyes before looking to Drake. "Or its just lack of sleep, you say you always wake up at the end with a woman smiling? What did she look like?" He asked him.
Drake shrugged. "I don't know, I hear her say my name and shes smiling.." He told him.
"We're home!" Chimed the second youngest, Rick who walked in with bags full of groceries followed by Johnny who sat the bags down then stretched.
"And you boys get to help unload, except Spike since he's cooking." He announced.
The room filled with groans but the other four removed themselves from the table and headed out with Rick who skipped out, he was always the cheerful, bubbly one. The moment he landed in high school, all of the girls fawned over his adorableness.

Johnny leaned against the wall next to where Spike stood with a concentrated look.
"What were the boys talking about?" Johnny asked him.
Spike frowned. "Drake is still having those dreams about our mom, since he never saw her but for a split second, all he gets is his name and a smile then he wakes up." He responded.
Johnny let out a sigh. "When are you going to tell him? He's fourteen, he has the right to know." He said.
"Right to know what?" Drake questioned holding some bags against his chest with an arched brow.
Johnny swallowed.
"Um, just how great these pancakes are!" He lied as Spike rolled his eyes.
"So much for what you said." He murmured.
Drake frowned. "I know how great Spike's pancakes are, except the last time, Spike I think you burnt one." He told him.
Spike blinked as he sat a platter of perfect blueberry pancakes down on the table.
"Oh.. well, this time I don't think any of them got burnt." He said.
Drake nodded before heading back out.
Johnny smiled with relief before turning to an irritated looking Spike.
"What was that? You say he has a right to know about our mom, then you go and compliment my amazing pancakes." He scowled.
Johnny crossed his arms. "Okay, maybe Drake shouldn't know..?" He murmured.
"Are you serious? He needs to know!" Spike exclaimed now aiming the spatula at Johnny with a frown.
Johnny frowned, turning away from his nephew now. "Alright, you can tell him." He said.
Spike glared. "What? I can't do that! I would never get my point across, and Kelton is completely out of discussion. He would only bluntly say, hey Drake our mom died the moment you were born!" He exclaimed.
"What...?" Came Drake's voice with wide eyes.
Both Johnny and Spike stood there, frozen.

Drake stood there, with wide eyes looking at his uncle and oldest brother.
Spike frowned deeply. "Why the heck are you the only one bringing in the groceries? Where are the guys?" He asked.
"We were passing them to each other.. what you said just now, is it true?" Drake questioned.
"Hey what's the hold up?" Barked Kelton as the guys walked back in but stopped due to the tension in the room.
Drake glared softly, Spike wasn't saying anything, he turned to Kelton with a deep frown.
"Did our mom die the moment I was born?" He asked him.
Kelton blinked, fixing to open his mouth, he groaned feeling a flat biscuit attack his face as Spike glared.
"Don't answer that Kelton." He snapped.
Drake's hands formed into fists. "Will someone tell me the truth!?" He snapped.
"Yes!" Luke yelled.
The room grew quiet, Drake stood there with wide eyes full of disbelief.
Luke looked away with a frown. "Mom died from some kind of heart failure after you were born, no one told you because well.. we didn't want you thinking you were responsible." He murmured.

Drake turned to him with tears in his eyes. "Our mother has been dead for fourteen years, and none of you wanted to tell me because you didn't want me to feel responsible..?" He chocked back a sob as the tears fell.
"The dreams I've been having.. those were about mom? And the man who tried to kill us when I was six, he was our dad?" He asked them.
The other five all frowned deeply.
"JUST WHEN DID YOU ALL THINK THAT WOULD BE OKAY TO KEEP FROM ME!? WE'RE FAMILY AREN'T WE?" Drake snapped as tears streamed down his cheeks.
"It wasn't okay!" Spike snapped with a glare. "We all know it wasn't okay, keeping things that important from you, were hard; but we did it so you wouldn't grow up depressed or always thinking it was your fault!" He told him.
Drake frowned. "Just how do you think I should take this now? You've been keeping this from me for years now, what else are you keeping? Oh let me guess, you guys really aren't my brothers?" He hissed.
"No, no no! Drake are your brothers!" Rick cried taking his brothers hands with a deep frown.
"We didn't keep this from you because of what Spike said about depression, we just remained quiet about it so we wouldn't have to remind our selves that our mom is dead. We all love you, but we couldn't just think about how you would feel to the news, we had to go five years without her, but uncle Johnny made sure we would survive that kind of heartache. Kids aren't supposed to go through life knowing the person that brought them into this world is no longer here, but they make it through that.. with the family they already have." Rick murmured.

Drake blinked as he wiped his eyes with a frown.
"Please don't hate us, for something that was already hard on us as well.." Rick added.
Drake looked at him for the longest minute, slow tears fell now as he wrapped his arms around Rick, his face buried in the others shirt.
Spike let out a sigh as the tension vanished from out of the room.
Kelton held the pancake he was smacked with before looking to the guys.
"Who wants pancakes?" He asked.
It earned some smiles from the guys, Drake removed his face from his brothers shirt before managing a weak smile then nodded.

Well it had to happen sooner or later, I decided on sooner than later because why not? I decided on doing three chapters today so this idea didn't vanish from me tomorrow, chapters 6&7 will be up tomorrow sometime. Maybe later than usual so I won't do three chapters again.
Until then.
Thanks!
~Celty.
