I love Brett and there needs to be more Brett.

I woke the next morning and left the house to find Malia waiting outside, leaning against a car she had borrowed from her dad.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned.

"Driving you to school." She stated.

"Why?"

"Because Kyle wrecked your car."

"If this is some weird thing to let me know that not everyone hates me then..."

"No one hates you." Malia cut me off as I got in the car and closed the door. "They're not overly happy with you at the moment, but they don't hate you." She stated. "Look, they understand that you weren't yourself, but it's still going to take time. It's been almost a year and if anything they're more upset that you never said anything."

"I know, but it's not just that. He's dead and I did that. Scott won't..."

"He will." Malia persisted stubbornly.

I turned to the window and just looked out, not saying another word as we made it to the school. She didn't bring up the memory I got back about the Dread Doctors, but she knew what they were like and it wasn't like there was anything else to say.

I didn't go with Malia to meet up with the others once we got to school. I went to my locker then class, a back corner in the library during break and then the music room after school, wanting some solitary.

I woke up, I was stuck in a dream

You were there, you were tearing up everything

And we all know how to fake it baby

And we all know what we've done

We must be killers

Children of the wild ones

Killers

Where we left to run?

Killer

Set my body free

The silver tigers in the moon light running

And the wind in the trees

Singing do you believe

And we all know how to fake it baby

And all we know is gone

We must be killers

Children of the wild ones

Killers

Where we got left to run?

Killer

I stopped, sensing another presence outside the door and then let out a sigh.

"What do you want?" I asked, knowing he could hear me.

Theo came into the room, not bothering to hide anymore. "You've been avoiding everyone all day."

"And you thought that that was your cue to say hello?"

"I just wanted to see if..."

"Please don't finish that."

"Look, if Scott, Stiles and Lydia aren't going to see if you're okay, then someone has to."

"Yeah, Malia did this morning. Job done. You are relieved of your services." I grinned back before reaching for my bag.
