Marcie's POV:
This whole week has just been amazing. I went from dying in a dark cellar to going on a crazy road-trip with Alec. It's crazy how one person can just completely change your whole world, good and bad. I was really starting to get used to Alec's new personality. The best way to apologize is by changing, and that's just what he did.
This morning Alec gave me his card and told me to go shopping. I've yet to of filled my suitcase and he told me to take as long as it needed and that he would be waiting for me when I got back. I wanted him to go with me but he insisted I have a nice day to pamper myself. So here I was, walking along a strip mall with a piece of plastic that had no limit. I decided that I really did deserve this day and I wasn't going to let it go to waste. I desperately needed clothes, especially up here in the mountains, it was ten times colder. It was about noon and I had a few bags in my hands filled with sweaters, jeans, shirts, and undergarments. I had spent an extra long time picking out makeup. Since Alec's calling me his girlfriend now I wanted to look good for him. I was fairly knowledgeable with makeup. Not because I wore it all the time; I just liked watching makeup videos and dreaming about having the money to look good; I guess my dream came true.
Now I was in Hollister picking out all my favorite things. I had a couple of long sleeve brand shirts along with sweatpants. I wanted to get some nicer things; for Alec's sake. Hell, all he's seen me in were baggy clothes. I picked out a few dresses and skirts to try on. I was excited about one in particular- a navy blue heart-cut dress with a bow-tie front. I slipped into the fabric and opened the dressing room door so I could see it for myself. I spun around in the mirror to look at it from all angles. It was pretty.
"Ooo, girl! You are gona slay wearin that thing!" said a man from behind me. He startled me slightly but I smiled at him as he zipped the back up for me.
"Thank you." I replied shyly. "I'm trying to look good for my boyfriend."
"I see you booboo! He is gona be all over you if you wear that."
I blushed at myself in the mirror. I really did want to look good for Alec. He's done so much for me already. Besides he gave me his card for a reason; he wanted me to enjoy myself.
"The only thing you need is a little makeup and a cute up-do." he tilted his head to the side as if that angle would look better. "Come with me." and with that he grabbed my bags and pulled me to the front counter. He rang me up quickly for everything that I brought into the dressing room, including the dress I had on. He cut the tags off and then walked me out of the store.
"Where are we going?" I wondered confused. It wasn't everyday that a fabulous man tells you that you got it going on and then nearly runs out of the store, taking you with him.
"Oh girl, I'm gona give you a make over!" he said it like it was nothing. "I'm gona make you look good for your booboo."
He walked me into a modern style salon, pushed me into a white plastic chair and spun me around until I was looking at myself in a white hollywood mirror. Everything happened really fast I didn't even know what to say, so I just sat there while he curled my hair. He pinned it up in the back with a pearl studded clamp and started on my makeup. He slapped foundation on my cheeks and began blending it in with a big brush. Oh goodness.
"Uh, not too much makeup. He's never seen me in makeup I still want him to recognize me." I explained frantically before he was too far along.
"Girl, I'm gona make you look great. Who do you think I am, a drag queen?"
I have to admit, he shut me up quick. I sat there while he made up my face, putting natural eye-shadow, liner, mascara, and a hint of blush. When he was finished he let me have a look at myself. All I could do was laugh. Not because I looked weird, I just haven't worn makeup in so long, and never like this. He didn't do much, but it was gorgeous. I thanked him a million times as I stood up and walked over to the register.
"Girl, what in the world are you doing?"
"I'm going to pay you." I said confused with Alec's card in my hand.
"Booboo, get out of here I don't want you're money! That was on the house. Just remember if you ever need anything just come here and ask for Justin. Then I want your money: eighty bucks please!" he said laughing and signaled for me to get out. I could not believe he just did all of that for free. It must of taken at least an hour. I grabbed my bags with a huff and left thanking him again.
My walk home was ridiculous. Not because it was long, I just had so many bags it seemed like my arms were going to fall off by the time I got to the room. I set down a few bags and swiped the room key until I heard a clicking sound and walked inside with my bags. The lights were off which was weird. I was expecting Alec to be home like he said. I set my bags down and turned the lights on and nearly fell to the ground in shock.
