Laine was always a happy child. She was always smiling. She never gave us a hint, that she was hurt. I remember that time when we went to the mall to have a mother-daughter shopping. Which she insisted. She looked like a little girl waiting to get the pink teddy bear she always wanted. That's how I saw her. My angel. My forever little girl. But now that she's gone. For a crazy reason. I'm still waiting for her everyday to walk through our door and say "Ma,I'm home". And with that, she couldn't finish her speech or eulogy whatever you call it. And went off the stage, to cry in the arms of her husband.
Just like any burial people were crying, giving looks of pity. Sympathies. Trying to remember the happy moments. And ignoring the sad once. Just to lighten up the atmosphere. They knew. They knew that whatever they did. They couldn't change it. They can't go back.
Little did they know. That someone was watching all of this happen, right above them.
As the saying goes: When one dies, another lives. And that happened on that day. Except they gave her a different name. A different place. A different family. Everything was different.
