Mine and Kelly's first ride choice was the swings. We both laughed and let our hair sway in the wind. It was amusing and very satisfying. We got on the swings about 3 times before finally deciding to go grab something to eat. Both of us agreed on hot dogs, so we went to the nearest stand to get some. We sat down at a lovely white table and began to devour our food.
"Hey look." Kelly pointed behind me. Sure as the day, Dally and Emma were a couple seats away from us just flirting up a storm. Kelly sighed, "I wish I was her..." "Oh shut up!" I yelled at her, "Don't say that. You're beautiful. Don't ever think different." She looked down, "It's hard not too sometimes." It fell silent. I knew how she felt. Sometimes you just couldn't help but beat yourself down. Sometimes, you just let yourself drop, even when you know you shouldn't. I used to think i was the only one who did that, but i guess everyone has their days where they just give up a little inside. She sniffled a little, "I'm not hungry anymore. Let's go do something else before times up." I agreed and we left.
We went into the arcade for a little while so she could play around. As soon as we entered, her eyes lit up and i could see the old Kelly in her. "Oh my gawd! They have games i've never seen in my life!" She ran to the closet one and put in a token i'd paid for with my own money. She had a ball with all the game systems in the room. I checked the huge clock above the building, only 30 minutes left. "Hey Kelly? Why don't we end this night off with a classic? Let's go get on the ferris wheel." She turned around, "Hell yeah! Let's go!" We raced our way there, and waited in line for about 2 minutes. It seemed like not too many people cared so much for the ferris wheel anymore.
We slide inside and the guy closed the door. The ride began to go up a little each time and Kelly slowly began to freak out. The first time she laughed it off, the second time she stated she had to throw up, the third time, she let it rip. She cursed so loud i started to think the people across the park could hear her. I tried to calm her down, but she just freaked out the higher we got. "Oh my gawd Sidney! I regret my decisions. I REGRET MY DECISIONS!" I couldn't help but start laughing. Out of nowhere, a million fire works went off near us. That shut her up. She looked up and for the first time since we got on the ride, she smiled. I told her take a deep breath and just watch the fire works. She did as i said and by the time we made it to the top, she had gotten used to it. We talked all the way back to the bottom about how beautiful the fireworks were and about how we didn't want to go back home Sunday night.
We finally got off and headed to the meeting destination where everyone else had already been. "Where in the Sams hill have you two been? Do you know what time it is?" Darry yelled at both me and Kelly. Kelly decided to speak for us both, "Sorry Dar, we got stuck on the Ferris wheel. Get over it." He rolled his eyes, "Next time, we'll all just leave you two. Ya hear?" "Yeah Darry. We're not deaf. We heard." He rolled his eyes, "Get in the car."
On our way back, Kelly laid down in my lap. She eventually fell alseep. I didn't mind, she was like a little sister to me. All the way back to the cabin, i just laid my head against the window. I couldn't help but fell like something really bad was going to happen. I just didn't know when.
