Mason's POV
I follow Liv's eyes only to see that Beth and Shawn are staring at each other."*cough* We came here for LIV, not so you can oogle over her boyfriend" I spat angrily and they awkwardly look away from each other. Me, being the amazing genius I am created a diversion
"Beth, it's dad he just texted me and said he wants to talk to us" I say and she nods. I hug Liv and whisper in her ear "I'm gonna get to the bottom of what's going on, don't worry" then I pull away with a smile
"I'm glad your okay, I'll text you later" I say while pulling Beth put the window and down the exit we used to get in.
-----
"So what did dad say exactly?" Beth asks as I lock the door behind me."Actually, dad didn't say anything because dads not here. I brought you here because I saw the way you were looking at Shawn" I say while quirking up an eyebrow and she chuckles
"So?"
"So... What's going on there?" I ask and she giggles
"Why would you think something is going on?"
"Umm I don't know, maybe because your batting your eyelashes, smiling and giggling like an idiot!"
"Mason, your 13 you have no idea what the hell your talking about" she spats in a diva tone and I roll my eyes
"I may be 13 but I'm not stupid" I say in the exact same tone she's using with me. "Now you are going to tell me and your going to tell me now-"
"Or what?"
"Or I will tell dad that the whole reason your still here is because you flunked out of college. I think he'll be pretty disappointed to hear that his "little girl" is a drop out"
"Fine! I'll tell you. I kissed Shawn again, we wanted to see if we felt the same connection that we did at the party and I did. Judging by the look he gave me, he did too"
"Bitch. What about Liv! Both yours and his best friend?"
"She'll get over it" she says and I chuckle
"You really don't get it do you? Liv has been in love with Shawn for as long as she could remember. He's basically the only thing that she has left of her mom because she introduced them and her father took away all her moms stuff! And your gonna take that away? How dare you?"
"Hey I didn't mean to " steal him away" from her. It just happened, and I like him-"
"So does Liv and after all the pain she has been through, she deserves happiness and that includes Shawn. You need to push your feelings aside and deal with it"
"You can tell Liv to bring on the competition because I'm not going down without a fight" She spats while pushing past me.
Great, what am I supposed to tell Liv now?
Liv's POV
Once Beth and Mason left, Shawn has been acting as if he's in la la land. It has been ten minutes and he hasn't said a single word to me so I punch his shoulder"Earth to Shawn!" I say while waving a hand in his face. Nothing, so I punch him harder "DUDE!" I shout and he turns to me
"Yeah?"
"What's up with you?" I ask and he looks nervous
"Nothing's up" he says and I cross my arms
"Shawn just tell me what the hell is going on"
"Nothing Liv, just drop it. I gotta go, I'll see you later" He says while grabbing his jacket and heading out the door but I stop him
"Why won't you talk to me? I don't know what's up with you but ever since the Halloween party you have been acting different. I know you apologized and that was so sweet and it begun our relationship. But even when we were just friends, you told me everything. So no Shawn, I will not just drop it" I say with my voice rising in every word
