This is Katherine's outfit for the day. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter! Thank you. X **edited**
--------------------
When I got up the stairs to my locker, I saw Sophie and Ella waiting. Not ready to hear their pity for me from the events yesterday, I tried avoiding them.
I was about to set foot on the first stairs when they spotted me. Soph came running over to me and enveloped me on a big bear hug.
Why is it that when I want to avoid people they suddenly notice me? But then when I long for their attention, they ignore me?
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't with you yesterday," she breathe.
I kept on mumbling its okay and tried not to choke on my own breath.
Ella starts fake coughing which causes Sophie to roll her eyes. Sophie finally lets go of me and went aside so that Ella could talk to me. She does the same as what Sophie did and kept on saying sorry, so I kept on mumbling its okay, again.
Once they've both stopped giving me their pity for me, I smiled at them, finally glad that its over. I'm not good with situations like these, people giving me their pity (which I don't need) and whatnot.
"Guys, thank you so much. But I'm really fine now," I grinned.
We did a group hug - which included Sophie and Ella subtly elbowing each other - then we went our separate ways. Sophie had cheerleading practice every Tuesday, period one, so she didn't need to come to History and Ella had a different History class.
The first period was surprisingly fast and we still didn't get to meet our real teacher because she was still sick.
Second period was Biology with Ella, and I guess the Famous Five. I wasn't as surprised as I was yesterday and I've decided to just ignore them by doing the best that I could.
Stopping by to my locker quickly to get my Bio book, I ran into the wall a couple of times, looking around for witnesses. Once, I knew that the coast was clear I ran to our designated classroom. Walking towards the seat next to Ella, I put my things down and took a sit.
I love these classrooms. The lab classroom with high chairs, benches as the tables and all.
Our teacher, Ms. Foster came in and told us to quiet down. I liked her, she was nice. She always paired me up with Ella for practical stuff.
"Okay guys, there's gonna be some changes around here. I know I always paired you up with your best friends but... I decided that you should get to know other people better."
"What? No! Ugh," my subconscious said or so I thought...
"Excuse me, Miss Morris?"
"Oh, just.. U-uh.. I mean... Nothing, Ms. Foster."
The whole class was laughing at my expense and I nudged Ella so she wouldn't join in.
"Great, then let's start, shall we?"
I nodded and the class was then groaning and murmuring. Looking over at Ella, she puts her hands up in fake surrender and smiled.
"Anyway, I have already done the pairs and I think you would like it..."
The rest of what she was saying faded as I thought about who she was going to pair me up with.
I didn't realize she had already called my name and my partner's name until Ella nudged me. I was so confused that I asked her what was going on.
