"Lets make a quick stop in Aquacorde Town, there's this Pokeball shop that we should go to," Calem suggested as they ran through the Vaniville Pathway.
"Sure," Serena agreed breathlessly as they arrived in the town, continuing straight until the reached a fountain and then turning left, into a little shop with a Pokeball sign outside.
"Wait here, you can't go inside with Pokemon," Calem said, "I'll be back in a few."
While Calem went inside, Serena decided to play with Froakie for a bit.
"I'm so glad this is happening," She gushed to the Bubble Frog Pokemon, who happily cuddled up to her, "It's like a dream come true!"
"Fro!" Froakie agreed happily, when his belly suddenly growled, and Serena swore he blushed.
"Aww, you're hungry buddy?" Serena asked, taking him into her lap and she grabbed at her bag, "I think I might have some snacks."
Serena fumbled around in her back for a bit as Froakie looked on hungrily, before taking out a small case. As she opened it, four Poke Puffs were revealed, which she grabbed two and put the rest back, "Remind me I have to make more," She told Froakie before handing him one.
"Fro!" He answered, stuffing the Puff into his mouth, looking hungrily at the other.
Serena laughed, scratched his head and fed him the Puff, which was when Calem came out, holding two bags, handing one to Serena.
"Five for me, five for you," He explained, pulling out the balls and placing them in their respective harnesses in his belt.
"T-thank you!" Serena gasped, throwing herself into his arms once he'd finished, making him turn beet red.
"Um...no problem," He murmured, patting her back before pulling her away from him, "Well come on!"
Serena once again picked up Froakie, who for now had satisfied his hunger, and ran towards the Avance Trail.
"Whoaa..." Serena said in wonder, amazed by all the Pokemon running about.
"Beautiful, huh?" Calem agreed, coming up to her side.
"You know how to catch Pokemon, right?" Calem asked as he stepped into the grass.
"Yup!" Serena said proudly, "My mom taught me about two years ago, when she needed another Rhyhorn for her races."
"Good," Calem said, smiling back at her, "You must have had a lively childhood, huh?"
"Yeah, I would always get to ride my mother's Rhyhorn everywhere, it was so awesome," Serena laughed, "Can you imagine? This large Pokemon, cuddling a todd--"
"I challenge you to a Pokemon battle!" A young boy in a blue hoodie shouted suddenly, releasing a Zigzagoon.
"Goon!" It growled, staring at Froakie.
"You second Pokemon battle," Calem observed, "Go on then, the town won't go anywhere."
Serena sighed, glancing at Froakie, "You sure you up to this?" She asked him, noticing the raised lines he still had from the Scratches Fennekin had delivered.
"Froakie!" He nodded, glaring at the Zigzagoon.
"Alright kid, go on," Serena said.
"My name's Austin!" He huffed indignantly, "Alright Zigzagoon, use Baby Doll Eyes!
The Zigzagoon batted it's brown eyes at Froakie, who instantly seemed to soften up a bit at the move.
"Ugh our Attack is lowered," Serena grumbled to herself, "Alright Froakie, Growl!"
