For LukeyDaPenguin your part 2
You and Soda had been married for three years, and though it could get rocky at times, you two had an amazing relationship. You both felt you were ready to start a family.
The only problem was Soda's condition. His paralysis made it difficult, for reasons that can be assumed, but you both really wanted children. You figured adoption was the way to go.
You worked extra shifts when you could to earn a little extra money to put towards adopting a child. Soda was still able to work the counter at the DX, so he made as much money as he could doing that.
Soon, you two had enough money put away to adopt and have extra for the necessities if raising a child.
You two had a conversation about what you would do.
"Do we want a boy or a girl?" you asked. "I've heard girls walk and talk and stuff quicker than boys, but I've also heard that boys are a lot easier to handle." You worriedly looked at Soda, waiting for his answer.
He just smiled and shook his head. "Darling, does it really matter? I think we should get any child we can get." That was decided.
You were put on a list for adopting children, in the area and throughout the state. You told the agency you didn't care what gender or what age, but you wanted to make sure if you got an older child that their environment wasn't totally changed.
It took almost a year, but one day, you received a phone call. There was a 2 year old girl, named Elle, that was up for adoption and if you wanted her. You didn't have to think about it. "Of course!"
A few days and a lot of paperwork later, you and Soda went to pick up your little girl. When you pulled in to the parking lot where the agent and the girl were waiting, you could hardly contain yourself.
"Hi, Elle," you said softly to the shy 2 year old. "We're your new mommy and daddy."
Elle kept staring at Sodapop in his wheelchair. She large, round green eyes and feathery light brown hair. "He huwt?" she asked, curiously pointing to Soda.
You looked at him and you both smiled. "Well, he was, but he just can't walk anymore."
"You wanna take a ride, Elle?" Soda asked her.
She looked surprised, but nonetheless, nodded her head emphatically. She toddled over to Soda, and you helped her up on his lap. He riled around the parking lot with Elle squealing in delight.
Your heart swelled with happiness at the sight of your husband and little girl. That was your family, an you couldn't be happier.
I really hope you liked this one. I figured marriage, next step kids. I don't really know if paralysis affects baby making(yes), but I just figured adoption is always a good thing. M'kay.
