Fish out of water (Haizaki x reader)

                                    

                                          
" The sea! " You exclaimed, as you ran out of your car towards the sandy dunes.
                          
" (F/n)! Come back here and help us unpack! " Your elder brother shouted, but paid no heed to him. You kept running and running, until you arrived at the seashore. 
                          
" Later! I wanna swim now! " You replied, breathing in the salty sea air. 
                          
" Be careful not to be seen! " He yelled, but not loud enough to reach your ears. 
                          
Afterwards, you trailed along the shore, and spotted a shade under the trees, dark enough and nearby the water. The spot was a small cliff, waves were crashing onto the rocks with a small noise. You eagerly ran there, and stood on top of the cliff, immediately diving into the water.
                          
Bubbles formed as you entered the warm sea water, sorrounding your body. Your clothes had disappeared, and your legs were replaced with a (f/c) tail. Your hair has increased in length, and your chest was covered by a bra made of shells, all in the same color as your tail. Your previously (e/c) eyes had also changed its color into a beautiful shade of (f/c). A small shell necklace elegantly rested on your neck, complimenting your features. You've guessed it, you are a mermaid. 
                          
" This place really is nostalgic.. " You muttered, swimming around the coral reefs, looking at the colorful living creatures made of polip. 
                          
You swam even further, passing by several schools of fish, and even met a dolphin. After a while, you found yourself sitting on top of a rock, not far from the place you dived in earlier. 
                          
" I wonder how he's doing right now.. I guess he'd grown up into a fine man now... It's been 10 years since I've last seen him after all, " You muttered to yourself, until a scream disrupted your thoughts.
                          
" (F/n)!!! " Your brother swam towards you in an insane speed, catching you in the process. 
                          
" W-What is it, Nii-chan?! Why did you pull me down all of a sudden?! " You yelled, trying to escape his iron grip.
                          
" You idiot! I told you not to make yourself seen by humans, right? If in your case just now, anyone can see you! You wanna turn into bubbles?! Enough playing, you're going back with me to the café! " He huffed, as he lectured you all the way back to your family's café. 
                          
You and your brother were merpeople, and had lived nearby the area until you were about 6 years old. Humans had never believed that merpeople existed, until one man saw a mermaid who was swimming in the sea by accident, that was when humans started hunting them down, for their value of attraction. Both your parents were killed during the hunting process, letting you and your brother escape, and the two of you have been travelling around the world since then. 
                          
" (F/n), this is the set up. I'm the owner of the café, and you are my sister, as well as an employee here. You'll be helping me do some errands once it opens. " He glared at you, as you pouted. 
                          
" Do I have to? " You huffed, puffing your cheeks. 
                          
" YES, young lady. I am your elder brother, and YOU have to listen to what I say. And starting tomorrow, you'll be going to school, " Your older brother, (br/n), handed you a school bag and a neatly ironed uniform. 
                          
" I'm... going to school?! " You stood up from your seat, eyes bulging from their sockets. 
                          
" Yup. You're sixteen, and you need proper education. I had to enroll you into Fukuda Sogo, despite you've been schooling in other countries too. But now that the rumors about merpeople have died down here, I guess it's safe enough to settle here for now. " (Br/n) sat back, folding his arms behind his head. 
                          
" B-But going to school will increase the chance of me being discovered as a mermaid! Are you really sure that I really require school? " You reasoned, pleading hinted in your tone.
