Mumbles, laughs, and the occasional silence could be heard outside of Simon's room. Him and Josh were inside playing some random games together. Riley was sitting outside, waiting impatiently for them to be done. She hates it when she comes face to face with a closed door. To Riley, it felt like half of the day had been wasted sitting here. She knows she's supposed to be quiet but three year olds typically don't have the best patience.

"Josh!" she called in distress. "Josh! Simon..." Riley tried again with both names. The door opened at her pleas'.

"May I help you?" Josh asked, blocking the entrance.

"Can I come in now?" Riley inquired. Out of the toys she has, a stuffed tiger was in her left hand.

"Yes. You've been very patient." Josh picked her up and set her on Simon's bed behind himself.

"Hey girly." Simon waved. Riley waved back, her arm flailing. The two grown men chuckled at her cuteness. They continued talking. Riley didn't understand most of it. Mainly because it related the game they just played. Riley disappeared underneath the covers.

"Um, Riley?" Simon questioned, laughing. Riley looked up making a the lump of blanket taller. Her face, or body, could not be seen. Before anything else was said, a loud but quick JJ screech was heard.

"Simon!"

"I swear to god if it's a goddamn spider..." Simon grumbled, shaking his head. He got up and walked out of his room with Josh following. Riley pulled the covers off of her head to see them walking down to JJ's room. She left the tiger on the bed and rushed out to follow them.

JJ was curled up cowering on his chair in the corner of his room. Simon and Josh walked in nonchalantly. Riley came up behind them. Simon cocked an eyebrow at JJ rather than wasting his breath asking 'what'. JJ pointed at his computer screen.

"Of course it's a fucking spider." Simon groaned at first but then laughed at JJ. The spider wasn't tiny but it still wasn't big enough to intimidate anyone but Jide.

"Are you sure it's not a dirt smudge on your screen?" Josh joked about it's size.

"Just get rid of it!" JJ yelled.

"I will protect you." Riley spoke up. All the boys laughed at her.

"And how will you do that?" JJ played along.

"I can talk to it. I can talk to animals and bugs." Riley told them. She confidently walked up to JJ's monitors and started whispering at the spider.

"Even a three year old girl isn't scared of it." Simon teased. "I think you're the girl, Jide."

"Oh shut up!" JJ spat. He looked over at Riley who was talking to the spider.

"Do you have a family? How many kids do you have? Do you live here with us? Is the computer screen warm?" She continued her mini interview until the spider was bored of it. It crawled up and behind the computer. "Where are you going? Come back! Did I upset you?" Riley tried to get behind all the computers. "Josh where did he go?"

"He probably went home sweetheart." Josh answered. "I'm sure he enjoyed having someone to talk to." Riley was sad it left.

"Oh fuck." she said. All of them stopped, wide-eyed staring at each other. JJ bursted out laughing in hysteria. Simon joined in with his silent laughter. Josh ran over and put his hand over Riley's mouth.

"Riley! You know you really shouldn't say those things." Josh told her. To be fair, he found it funny too. Except, Josie probably wouldn't think it is.

"But you say it all the time. So does Simon." Riley pointed out.

"You're right, and we really shouldn't. At least not around you." Josh said. "Guys," he turned to JJ and Simon. JJ was wiping away the tears. "I think it's time we make the effort to have clean mouths."

"Oh what?! That's not fair!" JJ complained.

"Let me just say, good luck to us." Simon then left.
