Lovegood's had been a bad idea, very bad. Sure, they had gotten what they had needed, but it had been too close of a call. One good thing came out of it though. Her and Ron were speaking again. The rest was all rubbish. The tales that Xenophilius had told was enough to make Hermione's blood boil.
He had sold them out for the sake of Luna. Oh Luna
Wherever she was, Hermione hoped that she was alright.

"Draco?"
"Hmmm?" He snapped out of his daze, and looked up to Luna.
"Who is your friend on the other side?"
The question hit him like a brick to the chest.
"Don't worry," she reassured him, "you can trust me."
Her words warmed him. "Just telling you would put her life, my life, and your life in incredible danger."
Luna nodded, bot seeming to understand the hint.
He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.
"You love her." Said Luna, it wasn't a question.
"What makes you think that?" Asked Draco. Unable to snap at the innocent girl.
"I can tell by the shade of your eyes when you talk about her, and the tone of your voice when you are thinking about her." Luna stated.
Draco opened his mouth , and barely croaked out, "I think... I think I do..."
Luna smiled. "Now, who is it?"
Draco opened his mouth, but no words came out. He finally worked up the courage and said it.
"Hermione Granger."
Luna smiled even brighter.
"Oh Luna, I don't think that she will ever forgive me, even if I admit my mistakes. I've done things that she couldn't bear."
"What did you do?" Luna whispered.
Draco took a deep breathe. "A few months ago the dark Dork took me onto a mission in Godrics Hollow. We went to this witches house, muggle born, she was trying to escape the law. I killed her Luna. The Dark Lord told me to kill, and I did it." Draco was crying now, but he didn't care, he trusted Luna.
She looked at him with extreme sadness in her eyes.
"I lost my mom when I was nine." She began. "She always liked to experiment, but on day on of her experiments went wrong. My Dad has raised me ever since."
"I'm sorry." Said Draco.
They sat in silence for a long time.
"I've lost her haven't I?" winced Draco.
Luna looked up at him and considered his predicament.
"My mom always used to say that the things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect."
Draco looked up at her. He was about to say something, when he heard the door to the cellar creak open.
Draco jumped into the nearest make shift cell. He heard footsteps marching down the stairs.
"I heard voices." Boomed his father.
"Oh, I was only talking to myself." Said Luna.
Lucius scoffed. "Figures, I wouldn't have expected anything less from a Lovegood. What was it that they used to call you in school? Loony Lovegood was it? oh yes, the other death eaters have told me so much about you."
Lucius jumped when a loud growl came from the other end of the cellar. He looked to Luna, as white as a ghost. "Did that just happen? What's down here!"
"Don't worry sir," Luna said when nothing happened. "You're just as sane as I am."
Lucius scowled at her. "Don't let me hear you talking again."
And with a swirl of his dark cloak, he was gone.
"What was that?" Asked Draco as he stepped out form his hiding place.
"I suspect that Mr. Ollivander is snoring again."
Draco smiled.
Luna smiled.
Soon they were both muffling laughter with their hands, as tears ran down their cheeks.
