"So how's your day yesterday? Sorry, I wasn't able to accompany you, dad wanted me to attend our companies annual gathering and I can't say no. Sorry" Yoona said apolegetically while walking with Taeyeon at the school corridor.

"It's alright.." Taeyeon said shortly still bothered by the events that had happened to her yesterday. She doesn't know why, she doesn't understand why, she feels so confused why would someone like Baekhyun would give a bit of his attention to her when she's nothing in everyone's eyes besides, it's not like he did it before because everytime he sees her being hurt, he would just pass by like he doesn't see anything.

"Hey.. you're spacing out" Yoona said and Taeyeon faked a smile. "I'll go first, I need to do something" Taeyeon said and just like that she left Yoona in confusion. Yoona on the other hand doesn't even have any idea why Taeyeon seemed to be avoiding her questions especially her presence and that made her feel bad, she thought, what if Taeyeon avoids her because she wasn't there for her yesterday?

Letting out a sigh, Yoona decided to go visit their dance room that was just a few steps away from where she's standing, twisting the knob, Yoona entered as she opened the door and saw a figure dancing at the center of the room.

No one was there except for the figure and as soon as the music stopped. The person also stopped and when he turned around, his face seemed to display a look of surprise.

"Sorry for disturbing.." Yoona said and was about to go out again when she heard the person call her name. "Yoona, wait!" She heard the person called so she turned her back to him again and smiled a little.

"What.. is it?" Yoona asked and the guy smiled at her. Yoona on the other hand felt awkward, yes she knows him but it's because they're classmates and they are both members of the school's dance group.

Other than that, they don't call their relationship as friends. They are more like acquaintances, knowing each other just because they attend the same school and their families are like friends in the business world.

"I.. Are you going to use this room? I'm done" He said and Yoona smiled again before shaking her head. "No, I won't. I just went here to be alone but if I'm bothering you I can go now" Yoona said and was about to leave the door when this time he stopped her again.

"Wait.." He said and Yoona raised her brows. He sheepishly smiled at her while rubbing the back of his neck and Yoona wanted to chuckle seeing him that way, he looked adorable in her eyes though.

"I.. I'm Kai" He said while extending his hand and Yoona lightly chuckled before accepting his hand politely. "Finally, I met the school's dancing machine" Yoona said and Kai chuckled, "It's my pleasure to have finally and officially meet you, school's goddess" Kai said and Yoona laughed without even thinking that they just had their very first conversation.

"That felt weird.. I mean, a goddess is such a--" Yoona said but was immediately cut off when Kai spoke again.

"It fist you perfectly.. don't worry" He said and Yoona nodded letting him say what he wants. After all, she knows that a first conversation should be more of a fun one rather than doing it on a contrast.

"So.. what are you doing here?" Yoona asked curious of why Kai is there alone in the dancing room and the classes are about to start soon. "Just doing some new moves, getting myself out of boredom" Kai stated as he walked at the center of the dance room with Yoona trailing behind him.

"Really? I knew you were really into dancing" Yoona said and Kai turned to her as he raised his brows. "Really? You think I am?" Kai asked and Yoona nodded her head before smiling, that time, she didn't felt any hesitations on being friends with him anymore, after all making friends is one of her specialties.

"Yeah, because the moment I saw you dance here when you joined. I knew that you're going to be a great dancer" Yoona said and Kai made an 'o' sign with his mouth and he chuckled.

"That was embarassing, I never even thought of joining here. I just did" Kai said as he lightly laughed and Yoona smiled in amusement. Knowing him more somewhat made her forget the world outside and the only world she's into now is inside the dance room, not anywhere. Just right there.

"Really? That was the exact opposite on me though.. I really wanted to join here" Yoona said as she took a seat on the floor and leaned her back against the glass, Kai did too but he kept a space between him and her afraid that he might scare Yoona away.

"So you.. love dancing?" Kai asked and Yoona nodded her head. Soon silence engulfed the whole place and none of them tried to talk, it was comfortable yet a bit awkward until Kai finally gathere himself as he spoke.

"Can we be friends?" He asked and Yoona turned her head to the side and chuckled. "Seriously? You'll ask that kind of question when.. like.. we know each other for months now" Yoona said with a hint of disbelief and amustment in her voice, hearing this, Kai scratched his nape.

"Of course, we may know each other for months but never did we exchanged words. Remember?" Kai said and Yoona nodded agreeing with him. Yoona knew that he really got a point there, they knew each other but never they got the chance to exchange some words yet, so they're not going to let the chance pass, especially Kai.

"You're right.. but it's not a problem with me though. We can be friends" Yoona said and Kai grinned happily.

"Friends?" He asked while offering his pinky finger to her and Yoona stared at it. She felt like it's something familiar to her but she can't exactly point out what, reaching out her pinky finger too, Yoona entwined it with Kai as she muttered.

"Friends"

In the meantime..

Taeyeon was sitting at a desk at the corner of the library. Her eyes are only drawn to the book she's reading ignore the students that are passing by her giving her a look of disgust, it was painful for her to be treated that way but what can she do?

She promised herself not to cry infront of anyone.

But the whispers got louder and she felt like the students are doing it for her to stand up and leave so that's what she did. She stood up, picked up her things and left completely ignoring the words she heard from the students.

Entering the classroom, Taeyeon found a few students already in there. As she settled in her seat, Taeyeon looked back to where Baekhyun's seat is but found no one there. She thought, what happened yesterday might be out of nothing at all, she wanted to tell him but he's nowhere to be found, other than that, she knows that if someone sees her talking to him, it would be a complete mess.

Letting out a sigh, Taeyeon told herself not to thank him anymore and just shut her mouth and do nothing.

She thought, it's better to be alone that have nothing at all.
