James Neal will forever be a penguin in my eyes. Okay? Okay.

Lifting the cooler in the trunk, you try to prepare for the trip ahead. Your brother Sidney, your boyfriend Evgeni, and a few other teammates decided to drive to Colorado. In one car.

Imagine it, four men that act like five year olds, stuck in one car for almost a full day.

It was a terrible idea from the start, the only upside was that you called shotgun way before anyone else. That is how you get stuck on phone charging duty and radio channel changer. That is also how you got your job of loading up the trunk, while the others slept in.

You had to pack food -not only for humans but for the dog that Geno couldn't leave behind- book hotels, and make sure everyone had the essentials because they somehow end up packing shorts in their bag instead of long pants.

As you lift the last suitcase in the trunk, two strong hands fall on your waist, lifting you and the bag into the trunk. You would've figured it was Sidney, because he would've loved seeing you disgruntled and freaked out as you fell on top of the sleeping dog, and getting smacked in the face with the paw of your German Shepherd, Mac. But it was Evgeni, who was laughing his ass off, because you squealed.

You groan in pain, not bothering to stop leaning on Mac, instead letting him comfort you by nudging your head. "I sorry, Y/N." He giggles a bit more, and you couldn't help but crack a small smile.

"Help me up," You say, reaching towards him. Geno grabs your hand and pulls you half way out of the trunk, until a bee flies in front of his face and he drops your hand to swat it away. "Ow!"

Sidney decided that it was best to walk through the door at that moment, and he wouldn't stop laughing. He laughed so hard, that Rust and Nealer started laughing, even though they never saw anything.

They were picking on you the entire drive, until you finally fell asleep against the window when Geno was driving. You were knocked out and Geno felt bad, "Guys, leave her alone. You make her bored, she asleep." He made sure that he kept one hand wrapped around yours, he made sure your blanket was covering you and your pillow was correct. And when Sid wanted to blast your music on loud, he punched your brother in the gut, making sure Sidney stayed away.

He couldn't help but glance over at you every couple of minutes because it was fascinating how peaceful you slept compared to how stressed you were a couple hours ago.

He would rub his thumb over your knuckles, and kiss them saying, "I love you, Y/N."
