29- Penny board vlog

                                    

                                          


                          
"Today is the day where we just chill, so I am looking forward to getting to explore the city, take in some air and just hang out." I tell the vlog, sitting in front of my make shift set up. "This will be a penny board vlog!" Penny board vlogs are vlogs I do riding around my town on my penny board. Anytime I go to another city I also do one, San Antonio is no exception.

                          
I end this part of the vlog to find someone to go out and explore with. I run down the stairs and go into the living room. Some people are playing on the Playstation and others are just on their phones. I think about who I want to go with. I haven't really gotten to know Rusher, Mitch or Ryan as much I should, but same thing for Tybzi. I want to hang out with Poke and Tofuu since we have a lot of fun on TS, but I pass up the opportunity to go with the Canadians.
                          
"Hey Mitch, Ryan, Brayden, want to go walk outside or something? I promised the waves a penny board vlog."
                          
"I still haven't eaten, so I can catch up with you later if needed."
                          
I look towards Mitch. "Sorry... I have to brush my teeth, catch up with you guys later." I frown and look towards Ryan expectantly.
                          
Ryan gets up. "Sounds fun, let's go."
                          
I grab my vlogging camera and my penny board. "It is so warm for March! In St. Louis it would still be snowing!" I say as I step out of the door.
                          
"In Canada it would still be freezing!" Ryan agrees as we start walking. 
                          
"Know where we are going Carolyn?"
                          
"I have no clue."
                          
"I thought you knew what you are doing!"
                          
"Why do you think I brought you?"
                          
"Cause you love me and you would be lonely?" He asks hopeful.
                          
"Mostly the latter, mostly since Brayden couldn't come." I joke.
                          
"Ha." He says monotone.
                          
I turn to look at him. "It was really funny though, right?"
                          
"Hilarious." He adds. We put our boards down and start skating. We skate in silence while I record, in the same silence, towards a more populated area, looking for a park. We find a park with a playground, and unlike the area around it, the playground is empty of people. I turn off the camera to take a break. We sit next to each other on swings and awkwardly swing back and forth, both of us looking at the ground.
                          
"Lynn?"
                          
"Hmm?"
                          
"Why me?"
                          
I awkwardly laugh. "You mean ask you to come?"
                          
"Sure."
                          
I look over at him at the same time as he looks up. We stare at each other in silence, taking in one another.
                          
I slowly start. "You seem to be an amazing person, but I have yet to witness you first hand. Same with Mitch and Brayden. I want to know you more, and have you be a real person, with real challenges and struggles, not just some guy that left clicks and presses WASD everyday that I happen to share friends with."
                          
"You're right."
                          
I flash him a cheeky smile then look down. "Always am."
                          
"....You wish."
